Google Tasks is meant to be simple by definition. Of course there are many other, more sophisticated, To-Do apps that integrate with Google Calendar. Incidentally, all of the things you said you couldn't do with Tasks can be solved by creating an event in the Calendar.

Unless i'm mistaking, an event will not show up late, it won't do anything after the date and time passes, except change to a lighter color. It won't tell me I missed it. It won't notify me in any way, shape or form about anything in the past. If you know of a way to accomplish this before i click on his affiliate link and buy this product, I'm interested. Otherwise after I saw this video I was happier than a thrown back catfish!, and can't wait to reward this fella with a small commission for turning me on to an amazing product! Thank you Mr Simpletivity!

I think I might just prefer the simplicity of google tasks as it is. The only thing I would wish for in google tasks is the ability to set the time window for the task. The way I workaround that is: I look at my tasks for tomorrow and create events in a "Plan" calendar that correspond to those tasks. I later move that event to a "Timesheet" calendar to indicate that I followed through with the Plan and worked on that task during that time. If I had not worked as per the Plan, I just delete that event and make a new plan for later.

One of the features i like about Google Tasks is if you don't mark it as completed, it jumps into a daily task list for every day following. So, yes, I i don't always get those tasks done. Does the GQ software have this same capability? Or do you need to move it?
@ScottFergusonSuccessАй бұрын
@@BillRocklin I’ve been using and was wondering the same thing. If you look to the left and click Smart Queues it has overdue tasks and also one which I love that’s called ‘Due Today + Overdue’

Interesting one Scott ... Going to check it out ... Play a bit ... May have application for the TEAM. Noce that it integrates directly with calendar. What I'm trying to sort through now is do I use Google Tasks and GQ at the same time? Or move all my current tasks to GQ ... Thoughts?
@ScottFergusonSuccessАй бұрын
@@BillRocklin one thing that I figured out this week is that you can import your Google Tasks into GQ, but they do NOT sync back and forth. Honestly I LOVE GQ now that I’ve implemented and executed I will do ALL through GQ, seriously a game chager
@GrowToGive5 күн бұрын
@@ScottFergusonSuccess I really thought it synced? So if I'm currently using google tasks app, and the google task button in my calendar I will no longer be able to use? Is this correct?

Nice channel! I think you could attract more subscribers if you improve the thumbnails of your videos, because they look a bit amateurish even the contents are very interesting

free google tasks is fine

Why would people change tasks as a free app to pay another one?

Meh, Google tasks is effective and integrates fine with gmail and calendar. For more complex stuff I use google keep. I try to avoid 3rd party dependencies.

"I try to avoid 3rd party dependencies." Right !! "For more complex stuff I use google keep. " Google Keep for tasks?
