Its like a ESS saddle just expanded and permanently that way. For a more compact light version try the ESS. The ESS takes a little getting used to but worth it in comfort sitting.

That’s true but the ESS doesn’t have the large cup built into it which I think accommodates a lot more body styles also!

I may be mistaken but I thought I saw you using one of those rods that prevents hip pinch with this saddle. I tried to look through the video again but couldn’t really locate it. Was I mistaken? You didn’t mention much about any hip pinch.

@wvbabuddy7679 this particular saddle, the tomahawk X saddle is one the best Saddles I’ve used in regards to hip pinch. The HPE just makes it all the better.

Well done as always! Gotta say though, I think connecting leg straps to the top of the saddle at the belt is the dumbest thing some of these companies do. Those straps should be positioned low like Tethrd, CGM, H2, etc. Secured around the leg is far more comfortable than up the crotch and helps keep the saddle from riding up. There is absolutely no benefit to a high leg strap.

We tried the straps down low and they would pull on your leg with every step. Moved them up to where they are and now you can’t tell they are there. And, no junk crunching whatsoever! 😂

@user-zm7co5zl8q I typically don't walk in wearing mine as it stays in my pack from the truck ride to the tree.... so I'm more concerned with the long hours sitting than the walk in. Maybe low attachment point option as an inexpensive solution for both 🤷‍♂️.

@@kylestauffer6228 I used to think the same thing buddy, thats why it was originally tested with the low leg attachment. I can promise you that the current high attachment is far far better for all users, whether you pack your saddle in or wear it in, and especially long all day sits.

Between this saddle and the jx3 , which do u actually prefer for mobile hunting in all actuality outside of all days sits knowing the jx3 it king of comfort

I have used them both for mobile hunting and can see the benefits of both. Honestly, it’s a question that’s hard for me personally because I’m a KZbinr and I use everything. If I was to go solely JX3 I could see where somebody would be very content. The biggest downside to the JX3 would be the weight. But the it carries so nicely! I know it sounds like I’m going in circles, because I am LOL. The one thing I would have to get use to is the JX3 is an all in one. With ultralight saddles my whole hunting set up revolves around my MRK2 backpack, whereas the JX3 revolves around well.. the JX3. I’m not sure. I’m doing any good. Trying to answer your question. But if there’s more questions you have, I’ll do my best.

I would have hoped to see use the JX3 saddle in more hunting videos as you have high ratings of it. I wanted to see you shoot a buck with it but it sounds like you used this saddle more this year. Sadly disappointed in that I looked forward to seeing you in hunting situation more with the high breed JX3!!!

I have used it hunting already this year, but I also let my daughter use it when we go, my father and also friend from MO. I used this the most on public land when I was in Iowa. I will be using the JX3 later season here in PA during flintlock and late season archery. As a KZbinr it is impossible for me to “stick” with one saddle. The only way for me to truly try out saddle and give them a good shot is to hunt with them. Same with platforms and sticks.
