Its a fun movie, it hit the exact mark it was going for. It wasn't out to win awards or change peoples lives and how they 'view cinema', it was there to just give you a fun action ride for 2 hours and nailed it.

All movies nowadays aim to be just a fun action ride. What does movie did friend was a really good original story somewhat, for the most part really good acting and a very interesting and stressful story to keep you engaged. Also having amazing sound design, creature design, and CGI.

This was a pretty cool alien invasion flick with a pretty great cast. It almost felt like a mix of Independence Day and Starship Troopers which are films that I love while also being its own unique thing.

This movie actually did premiere in a limited simultaneous theatrical release. Because of that it was able to be nominated for 8 awards. I hope more people react.

I hate the saying, but it's true. This movie had no right to be as good as it is. The action was incredibly good, the CG for the white spikes was almost completely well done (a couple times it looked a bit off) and the overall story was well paced and had a decent emotional backbone to it. And the ending was great if you ask me. Now there is talk of a sequel, but I'm not sure how it would work considering the ending. Unless "there's another ship" they didn't know about, and the war still happens in the future (maybe at a different time etc).
