Hi Dave! Thanks for the great demo. The Thumb is an absolute beast. I currently play a german Corvette Standart 5 string but having heard this I really want to get a Thumb now))

Yeah, "neck" pickup :) There are like two bridge pickups. Or bridge and middle.

Former Warwick hater here, now a proud owner of 2004 Warwick Thumb BO 5-string. Got it for a good price with idea to resell, decided to keep it. Very nice instrument to play and to TOUCH.

Try some DR hi beams on your corvette $$, i won’t let any other strings touch my frets now. Makes for really glassy highs and tight, defined lows

I have a set just waiting to go on! Have you tried the Dragon Skin coated series? I received a pair of those as well and wondering if they're as good or better than Elixir's? Thanks for watching!
@julianthesmooshyhusky89768 ай бұрын
@@DavePorterBand haven’t tried the dragon skins yet, you’ll have to give me your impressions. For a five string set coming in at almost $50, they better keep their sound for awhile!

Silly question but i gotta know. Are there any qualities of the bass that would impede a beginner from learning on and growing into it?
@DavePorterBand6 ай бұрын
Good question! In my opinion, no. I think it's important to start learning on a bass that is set up well (neck relief, action, etc) than learning on one that is set up poorly to avoid learning bad techniques. Thanks for watching!

How would you describe that one trick? Sincerely asking, I loved the tone in the video. Growl, character, fits styles of music I like.
