Cool video. I have the original Tonex and I agree 100% what sold me is the feel. If they ever come out with a Tonex with Amplitube effects all in one pedal, I will be done buying gear!

Thanks man and agreed about the feel. The best I have tried, yet.

I pretty much did the same thing. Ran the ToneX 1 thru the HX loop and that worked well. I tend to like to work clean with edge of breakup and then use OD in the Stomp with a Boost in front of that to stack gain stages. Then in my signal chain I have two different delays and the Dynamic Hall reverb for more ambient stuff. What I did find very challenging was finding a capture amp profile that had decent levels. Most of the clean amps are just not loud enough. After sampling dozens of captures including some that I purchased, I ended up with a Matchles DC 30 drive channel with Silvertone/Celestial cab and a Vox AC30 with a Matchless cab. I spent a great deal of time really tweaking the amp models in the Tonex app. But the time resulted in big rewards. The amp tones are excellent.

Nice man!! I love that Dynamic Hall setting and I totally agree about the levels of cleaner amps. I have messed with the level of the send and it helped some. Thanks for checking out the video, my man! The ToneX stuff is really insane!

Oh brother, that's awesome, what a time to be a guitar addict, all these new on the bourd options are so good compared to the 90's, I'm messing with the BOSS ir-2 and it's efx loop. And I'm sure next week more companies will release another mind blower to suprise us all.🎸🙏🤘

I have been tempted to sit and AB the IR with the ToneX, but maaaaaaan… I can’t stop playing. I had dinner after posting this and have been back at it for over two hours working out patches with my main effects. And yeah, next week a Collab between Boss and IK and JHS!!! lol

great video and thank you. i think it would be a good idea to drop in a schematic (or two) about of your super cool rig configuration(s) so we (maybe it's just me) have a better idea about what you are doing. i mean, we see you being all touchy-touchy and stuff ... that's cool (you obviously play well and know what you are doing). nice man-cave as well btw and your cat seems cool. good video ... i just wish i knew more about what you are doing with those things. and, i do have a stomp and tonex one. ... and the tonex is stereo? damn, what rock did i crawl out from under? this IS a cool time to be in ... i just gotta get a grip on understanding it. and mostly, i just want a cold and dark room to play my half-broken classical guitar in. digitize that.

Hey man, found your video here. Great video! One question: its possible to run TWO Tonex One? Like stereo amps and go back to HX? My signal path is dry (Comp, Drives, Volume) > HX Stomp as of now. Thinking on getting one (or two) tonex one for stereo amps sim. Thanks again, very helpful video!
@DoubleDguitar25 күн бұрын
@@hmn4466 hey man, thanks! I did make a mistake when talking about the T1 and said it had a stereo input, and I was quite wrong about that. But yea, your idea would work. The Stomp has stereo inputs and can do all the post effects you could ever think of. You wouldn’t want to run front end effects like drive or wah with the stomp, that way. Using the two in stomps loop would just require an a/b/y box set in y config between the stomp’s send and the two T1’s. The other option would be to use the one and an amp in the Stomp in a dual path output config. Experimenting is the best way to find out what’s the tone you are hunting for.

Awesome video my friend! Thank you for this. I'm thinking of buying the tone x one to use with my hx stomp as well. Have you tried to use the tone x just after the hx? Without using the send return of it? Greetings from Brazil!
@DoubleDguitar4 ай бұрын
@@joserodolfospin4756 hey man, thanks for watching! First off, I was wrong about the One having a stereo input. So that is something to note from the video. The main reason I run it in the loop is to use the effects like drive and comp before the One and then have my modulations and delays and such be after my One, like the 4 cable method. You absolutely can use all the effects from the Stomp straight into the One. Do make sure you watch your input level on the One!

Honestly tonex one isn't user friendly as far as the software goes. The irdium is actually easier to use and feels more like an amp.
@DoubleDguitar7 ай бұрын
I have not had much problem at all getting it going. I have really heard good things about the Irdium.
@ceciliaeyes7 ай бұрын
Strange that you think irridium feels more like an amp. I had both and the Tonex stayed. It beats the irridium in everything for me. I sold the irridium (and I am a fan of Strymon pedals). Wich captures did you try ? Irridium was also very limited in amp models. Also, Irridium is not a profiler but a modeler device, like the HX Stomp in fact.

@@Dark0ne2099 it’s funny how some really like it, while most hate it. My first time with it wasn’t too bad, but I do wish there was a way to mute the pedal while testing tones in the software.
