The exact date of the beginning of the end of late night shows was the date Carson left. Unfortunately it's taking the rest too long to absolutely die. For example Fallon and whatshisname.

Yeah, there was satellite tv back in the early 80's. The rich neighbors had those big 10 foot dish receivers in their back yard

@@johnking5174 I forget most of the satellite names but if the dish was pointed straight up,they would be watching porn. I think you had to pay a subscription fee to get the codes to descramble the signal. Galaxy satellite system is what I think it was called.
