The Tonkor is the Most Satisfying Weapon in Warframe

I miss the old tonkkr effect when the grenade would bounce if it hit something within 1.3 seconds of firing. It was always fun shooting the ground to blast jump myself up before I got good at the parkour. That tells you how long ago that gimmick was removed. 13 year long player btw.

@@kookthekid8338 when it did bounce it all so had a custom red dot line for the predicted path of the grenade as well and when I used the tonkor again and noticed the fant red dot path was gone the grenade bounce was all so gone and it made me saddened by its loss.

The travel distance thing was a fix for when self damage was a thing and the tonkor had been nerfed

the tonkor has been my nr 1 most used weapon ever since starting. not that i have used it in the past 4 years, but when i stared back in the day it was the only gun i used

@@kookthekid8338 With the self dmg it was a interesting one, Details are somewhat bully since it has been such a long time, but what i mostly remember was just shooting balls of deletion, it killed everything around it ignoring walls.

kuva tankor and nurkor rhino main here. nothing beats infinite ammo + armor skin where you just spam nades ( plus upgrade magazine and you can have 52 ammo)

From Warframe wiki "Grenades have travel time, heavy arcing, and needs to travel 7.5m before being explosive." Thats why they do not explode.

@@nekologi yaa the arm time was left over but the gimmick overall is gone. In fact if you stand close foes who use the tonkor(not kuva) it will hit you with out exploding and that's a neet little detail. I guess kuva liches don't care about personal safety

I do agree yes I very much love the feel on the tonkor. Kuva version is of course better but there’s few kuva weapons worse than the original.

@@kookthekid8338 it was just a standard corrosive crit build, and I highly recommend a reload speed mod if you can help it. Good news is that the kuva tonkor also doesn’t have a minimum arming distance too

Tbh I'm pretty sure both tonkors are pretty shitty XD also there are other explosive weapons that have a safety thing like tonkor but the only ones i can remember on the top of my head are acceltra and akakrius. Also if you want a weapon that does a shit ton of explosions while still being really good id recommend you to get the Cedo yeah it is a shotgun but it's alternative fire does a LOT of explosions that inflict enemies with basically every single status effect in the game. Also don't put any forma or orokin catalysts on it since it's going to get a prime VERY soon after the next prime (which is almost 100% going to be xaku) lavos prime will be the the next prime up and since the Cedo is lavos' signature it'll 100 million% get a prime then also quick fun fact protea prime is the first frame to get prime from the ones that came out in 2020
