Black sword. There has been a black sword in the late 80s with the armour shop. Want one? Spend some money. It was only avaiable in one set ever. Never again a black sword. So i was happy to see the black sword again. Love the Castle. Mine is being attacked allready by a 7 year old and his Ninjago dragons. Daddy plays happily along 😂

The Original sheils being remastered are definitely my favourite accessories also the fact that the pink crown sheild is used in one of the cmf minifigures this year. Hopefully they can do the same for the other ones

I realize this video is kind of old, but it amazes me sometimes how much money some people are willing to spend on parts. I literally just waited patiently and now you can buy most of these pieces fairly cheap on the pick a brick tab of the Lego site. You can get as many shields as you want right now for $1.10.

I'm near 40 and this release has gotten me back itching to buy LEGOS once again. its really near perfect and as far as play ability and value and size etc... I think could be their greatest set. its like Castle is starting all over and I hope there is more because a set at this level is heirloom quality fun. I might even get the disney castle for the black falcons. hmm...

I grew up with the medieval sets of the 80’s. This is the first set I have bought since that time. Bought the first one for my daughters but I might buy a second one as I will feel bad stealing all the mini figs.

In some ways, I think you're right, especially with the animals. A big part of it is that the set reintroduces accessories that are expensive because the parts are decades old (Forestmen/Lion Knight torsos and shields, for instance). Those 1980s-1990s pieces aren't rare, just pricey. Now that this is out, it should make them more accessible and affordable for people who don't want to drop $400 on a Lego set (hopefully!).

@@buildingtogether4171 As a casual fan I'm curious, will those returning pieces be treated same way the original ones were? I'm asking because while there was a clear attempt to recreate those, molds are most definitely new, same goes for the printing process, plastic type etc. Something tells me OG purists won't be happy anyway. Does bricklink even list them as the same piece or there's two different entries?

Not surprising. I've seen it listed on Bricklink for about $250 without minifigs. If you just like pieces, that might be the way to go.

I love the figures disappointed on the weapons of them going with the original Swords and not using the great Swords like the queen's and arming Swords annnnnd they only have ONE crusaders dubbel spear axe sheild still I need them all I can do without the original Swords though and the layout of the castle I wish they went with a different look I like the section of level after level top middle and bottom not the whole back of the castle completely open it just doesn't look right but they did a awesome job bringing back old memories!

Do they really come with 12 Lion's knight torso in the set? I checked on brickset parts the Lion's knight torso only have 9 + 1 for the Queen Lady torso.

We prefer bricklink to the pick-a-brick wall because of the selection. It can be hard to find the pieces you want on the pick-a-brick wall.
