Pretty good recommendations, except: 1. Hau Tree is a beautiful location with very ordinary food. 2. Zippy’s also has ordinary food in its genre. There are many more “local” “plate lunch” places with better food and cheaper prices. Otherwise, the picks are spot on. So happy you put a spotlight on some great lesser known restaurants like Yakitori Ando. On the other hand, several pronunciations are incorrect. Starting with “Honolulu.” Hawaiian language, like Japanese, is relatively simple. All vowels have the same pronunciation all the time. Honolulu is pronounced Ho-no-lu-lu. All long Os. Not Ha-no-lu-lu.

Yakitori Ando is not next to Imanas Tei. That’s a different restaurant altogether. That error plus including ZIPPYs showing the restaurant in Vegas makes me wonder who put this together. There are a lot of great restaurants in Honolulu. A little better research should be done.

@@jayinfluencer Hawaiian vowels are pronounced similar to Spanish: a/ah, o/oh u/oo i/ee. Pronounce each syllable. Hawaiian place names are easier to pronounce than most mainland place names. I have cousins who live in Hauppauge New York. How do you pronounce 'Hauppauge'? I still don't know. There are lots of Hawaiian language resources to check out. Good luck.
