Loved Sonny Crockett's white Testarossa!!! 80's was a time where participation trophies didn't exist. You were either a winner or a looser That's it. No one remembers 2nd. place. You had to have big balls back then it was awesome times!!!

Great list. I was waiting for Corvette. All new in 1984 after hiatus in 1983. Was incredible for its time, if not a bit of a rough ride. 1986 was much better, too. And of course led to the 1990 ZR-1 and beyond

As a young virgin teen of the 80s, my car picks would be RX7 Savanna, Toyota Celica Supra, Esprit ST (from Bond's 1982 FYEO film)BMW 2002, Merc SL350, Toyota MR2 MK, Ferrari 328GT, Porsche 928 & 944, TransAm 77-79, Camaro ZROC, &Fiat Z9..Cars only a teen could dream of...😢😂😂😂

They were legends in Saudi when we lived there in the 80s. Rare coupe is so cool now especially.

Those things ran forever. I had an 82. Put 200,000 on it. Then in 1990 I bought an 88 crown victoria. Had that for 12 years. Car was almost indestructible with that 5.0 motor. Put 500,000 on that. And only got rid of it because the electric system started up and the car body started to rust. Lol!! I loved my crown vic. If I could get one today with good miles and the right price. I'd take it over any piece of sh*t they make today!!! Lol!!!

….thanks for the 80’s round up - I was out of breath after watching this!! A memorable decade when I was in my 20’s - university and then first proper job! That said car wise a number of us were still hankering back to another magic decade - the 1960’s for our first roadsters and fun cars, in addition to daily / work drives. That said thanks again for storing the memories of the 80’s…..Crockett’s theme is back on the decks for this evening!👍😃

4:57 the Mercedes power version 2.3-16 was built before the m3 e30 and it was bmw who had to react. Also both still had a different approach since Mercedes had to prove for the first time being able to build a smaller car (todays c class predecessor) and still being able to cope with Porsches in terms of top speed

6/10 on my bingo card. Diverged on: 1982 - I went for the Porsche 944 1983 - BMW M6 (so good I took the 8 series out) 1986 - Jeep Wranger 1988 - Volkswagen Corrado As an aside Citroen AX (1986) was my first car but it was awful.

Beautiful cars of the 80s! 😍. My fav are the Ferrari F40, the Testarossa, the '82 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, the Elise mk1 Turbo, the Porsche 944, the MR2, Supra A70, the 240SX, 300ZX, the BMW 850csi, the Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 Dakar, the MX5 mk1. The 90s were good too with the Nissan R32 GTR, the Lamborghini Diablo, the Ferrari F50, F355, F550 Maranello, the Mitsubishi Lancer, Eclipse, GTO, FTO, Bugatti EB110, the Dodge Viper, Chevy Corvette C4, Aston DB7, ecc. You nailed it Bro great choice the Audio Quattro right up there. Compassion much needed two tone we were the most progressive generation ever I miss those times. knight rider , Corolla, Peugeot 205 2.9, Renault 5 Turbo discovery of motown it was such a cool time skin heads were thickos now they are ruling the roost but hey we were lucky enough to be be from that period not perfect but we loved music and cars and people. How do you compare CRX to the hybrid CRZ, would you recommend CRZ to any CRX die hard fans? Thinking of buying a used CRZ just for fulfilling men's midlife crisis,

No. I drove a prototype very briefly in the early days. It was good, but it wasn't light, engaging and fun like an original CRX. There's still some great examples of the original CRX around - go for one of those!

The Mercedes 190e 2.3-16 is faster on a track and predated the m3, the m3 was launched to compete against the 190e 2.3-16 But sadly the Mercedes doesn’t look as cool :(
