My #1 has to be the Spyderco Smock. I haven’t removed the 2nd detent ball (and don’t plan to) but it is still totally drop shutty. You can easily thumb, spidey, and of course flip!! Super fun! 💕🔪

Got the Maileah recently and while it needed the tension of the lock bar to be adjusted, it is by far the most fidgety knife I have. It still needs a proper edge as the one from factory is more than 20 deg per side, but it is still surprising useful as box opener - the 3 finger grip it provides is super secure. So thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Discontinued and underrated IMO, the Benchmade 531 is a wonderful fidget/office EDC blade that is in my rotation. The way the axis lock pushes the blade out for you is great, and when it’s tuned right, it will flick like an auto, I can even index and spydie flick it off the thumb studs. But the PM2, is definitely my go to. I’ve done an acid etch and stone wash on my S30V, and the I anodized some Flytanium hardware to bronze, and changed out the scales to Ripps Tech garage green canvas micarta. I also have a TI lynch clip I annodozed to match. It’s my baby lol.

@@WaynesSharpWorld I know it's a question with a pretty obvious answer but I would like to hear another opinion. Which of the two knives (Para 2 and ESEE-3) would be a better EDC knife? I considered appendix or belt carry for the ESEE-3 seeing as it would free up space in my pocket where I keep my phone. And I get that the Para 2 is generally a better overall EDC knife but I would like to hear your thoughts on it.
@WaynesSharpWorld
@WaynesSharpWorld 3 жыл бұрын
@@CertifiedSunset you know buddy, I’m becoming more in tuned with the mindset that the best edc knife for any individual is the one they will enjoy and use the most, regardless of any stereotypical thoughts behind any given piece. Personally, I would go with the PM2 mainly because of its fidget factor and knowing that in reality, either knife would easily handle any edc tasks you’d come across. The Esee would actually come in more handy in any type of outdoor adventure or “oh sh!t” situation haha! My advice would be go with whatever blade appeals to you more. Everyone has opinions and while I do love giving my two cents, I always advise people to simply go with their gut when they’re torn between two different knives. 👌🏼👊🏼
@CertifiedSunset

@@WaynesSharpWorld I appreciate the response. I'm most likely going with the Para 2, I like customizing my knives and it is a solid knife similar in size to my Tenacious with a good blade steel. In a perfect world I would buy both, but that will have to wait a bit. Thank you!

On the AD-20, does the jimping wear out your finger from fidgeting? Also, how is the detent from pulling down the lock? I know it's not a traditional detent but how does the force to open it compare to the Malibu? That's the only other knife that I've handled on your list for a point of comparison. Thanks!
@WaynesSharpWorld
@WaynesSharpWorld 3 жыл бұрын
Personally, I don’t find the jimping to wear on my thumb at all. The detent on the lock feels more like a latch... kinda hard to describe, but I’d definitely call it more of a latch feeling than a detent. To be honest, it really doesn’t compare to the Malibu at all. The detent on the Malibu is literally perfect for the knife, but there kind of isn’t a true detent for the AD20. I don’t think it’s realistic to compare the two. Hope this helps, just want to be honest with ya. 👊🏼

Any love for the cjrb caldera? I was thinking of picking one up, but they don't have jade g10. It looks super fidgety as well as having a good utility blade.

Yea it has a pretty good fidget factor. This video was just made way before the Caldera was released. Flipper and blade cutout always make for a good fidget factor. 👍🏼👌🏼

Why is your sticker only showing South America and India, and why is it you appear to be looking down on those sub-continents🤨 5:45 Hear here📣 16:18 😮 I chose to buy the Shamshir instead ... might just have to buy me yet another Kizer😥

Esoteric just happens to be the part of the earth my friend out there. Mainly because it’s the generic view of the world pictured in most images. My odd looking face just happens to be covering up half of it. 😂😂😂

Steffen Fisker that does suck! Sorry to hear that bro! Have you looked into the Monterey Bay Knives EWC? Non-locking but super fidgety!

They have to be no locking? That's awful. Spyderco paramilitary 2 is literally the only knife I own. They do make the nonlocking UKPK.

@@lanceluthor6660 They can have locks, and one handed opening :) But what i mean is all the cool and exclusive knives never reach europe. Ive since found the Malibu in europe, but way steeper prices than in the US. Currently i own a Benchmade Bugout as my only knife.
