Besaid and all of FFX fills me up with nostalgia. One of my favorite soundtracks that I still sleep to, this day. It definitely stood out to me for the tropical/Polynesian vibes at a time when I was first discovering my Caribbean heritage too.

Dang you have some pretty unique content here for jrpgs. I really miss when rpgs were so HUGE, where you had like 30 or 40 diff distinct locations of various themes and cultures to explore over a massive ocean spread across multiple continents. Now adays its pretty unfeasible to manage that with today's tech. One of the things I will solely miss about classic rpgs, thats for sure.

Probably a predictable choice from me, but my favorite Beach Town in any JRPG is definitely Altamira from Tales of Symphonia. Such a fun place with a ton of sidequests available, and overall probably one of the best places to live in that game!

There’s so many to pick from, those are great towns too. Like you mentioned it was a bit of technicality considering they’re not really beach towns and are more of seaside towns, but maybe we’ll do a list over those eventually. Well you’re luck, we made a video about snow towns in JRPGS last year, go check it out! Keep in mind it was our first video though so our quality has improved a bit since then 😅

I know it's a controversial topic but in many people's opinion Zelda isn't a true JRPG, at least not in the same vein as the others on this list. It has some role playing elements for sure but ultimately is quite a different experience compared to something like FF7 for example. If we included Zelda we would get even more comments complaining why Zelda is there lol, as we've caught glimpses of at times by including Zelda games in some of our intros

To be completely honest neither of us speak Japanese so I’m not sure what you mean by this 😅 I’m guessing you’re referring to the Japanese in our logo? Is there an error in the lettering or translation? The guy that did our logo said he checked with a native speaker however still not 100% sure since we can’t read it ourselves obviously

@@GamingBroductions if that's what they're referring to then ° changes a letter to a P sound and " changes a letter into a B sound. In this case Broductions uses a " which is correct in the title after I zoomed in and saw it.

Those pronunciations of Langoud and Wyna made me sad. Thousand Arms is one of my all-time favorite games. Nice list again! I absolutely agree with Arni and Besaid being at the top.

Lol my bad. I probably should have looked those up to clarify those pronunciations before recording, it's been so long since I've played it. I watched some clips after and realized I pronounced Wyna wrong but didn't know I did with Langoud as well. Damn, sorry about that! Glad you agree with Besaid and Arni at the top though!
