Mainmen is what got me into Tekken. I unfortunately I’m not very good but I would glad like to match him in my lifespan. Mainmen is an human and of course people aren’t gonna like him for his opinions or takes but I can say I enjoy him very much. Appreciate the video!

What seems to be the reason why others just despise him? I mean I get the cringe poses and comical dialogues he gives, but he really is just a passionate tekken player.

Idk I don’t see people despising him but they totally might be out there, I haven’t seen it myself. But I’ll say personally I’m not really a fan of his (at least not now, I didn’t know he’d been around that long which is cool) because he just seems relentlessly negative and it’s constant complaining, and as such a major force in the English-speaking Tekken space I do feel he is “responsible” for setting some of the tone of the community. Responsible isn’t the right word, that makes it sound like “he has to change” which I’m not saying at all but just, I think he is influential enough to have some effect - again not to say I think he should change anything about himself or how he feels but the overall Tekken creator community just feels very negative compared to other games. Like the MK community doesn’t even like MK1 yet MK content creators are usually still enthusiastic in their videos and the ones who constantly complain are kind of put in the corner and ignored. DBFZ creators can be negative at times but there’s enough of a sense of “hype” to offset it imo. TMM is certainly passionate but I think it’s just not for me, there’s a difference between being passionate about something and enjoying it and my personal outlook is just that if I’m not enjoying something overall then I won’t play it or watch it, I’ll play/watch something else. I understand the counter argument that someone can be passionate about something they aren’t enjoying because they think it can be changed to be enjoyable.
