Tommy Bolin prominently right in the middle of the picture all the time. Now that's an album!! I can relate to most of your band choices although here and there I would have chosen a different album from them. But hey, very solid choice!
@SpinninProg4 ай бұрын
We all hear things differently. So it would be boring if we all chose the same. Yes Tommy tends to be forgotten about because of his weaknesses as a person rather than remembered for hyx strengths as a musician.

@@SpinninProg Do you collect any rock vinyl? I would like to suggest a band called the Warning they are a rock power trio of young sisters and they are very good They have opened and toured in support with the Muse, Three days grace, Halestorm and have opened for Foo Fighters, Def Leppard, the Killers and stryper. They have 3 albums out their latest is called ERROR and is a double record album. Their second album is a concept album also a double record album and is called Queen of the Murder Scene. The first album is called XXL Century blood You can see them in concert here on youtube and several of the videos of their songs.

Looking forward to the next one. Cheers.

Absolutely brilliant guys, loved the video. The great thing about jumping about on the old KZbin is, you come across so many great channels, and yours is one of them. You'll be pleased to know ive just subscribed, your that good hahaha. A great selection of essential music there, which.. i think i had 16 out of the 20 albums you both selected. You're like Mr Kipling, you have exceedingly good fooking taste, that was my Scottish accent attempting an Irish accent hahaha. Love your accent guys, could listen to you all day. The Irish accent is like the Scottish accent, you go to deepest England, Holland or Germany, you speak with your poshest well pronounced Irish ( in my case Scottish ) accent, only for folk to look at you with a blank stare, then utter those famous five words.... What the fuck did he say hahahaha.

Literally just ordered Oxygene earlier in the day before I saw this video. Rainbow Rising is the first LP I brought and I played it every day for a year or more and still one of the best rock albums of all time in my book. Deffo going to check out Steely Dan. Couple of must haves I would add are Queen's Day at the Races (several others of their's could feature too) and Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells or Crisis which I actually prefer overall. Just discovered your channel. Very enjoyable, you seem like nice people into music. I get a kick when you say "Jesus" so Irish sounding to this American. Your Flying Teapot has a different cover than mine, when/where was it pressed? The Steve Hillage in the background is highly underrated, in my opinion he doesn't get the acknowledgment he deserves. Great guitar player, Cheers!

Hi Spinnin'Proggers👋🏻This was a tough topic to tackle. I tried to think of 10 bands that every rock music lover should check out, but not necessarily choose my favourite album by each band. Amazingly, I've even chosen some albums that you guys chose😳 Black Sabbath - Paranoid Deep Purple - In Rock Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Queen - Queen II ELP - Brain Salad Surgery Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway Jethro Tull - Aqualung Rush - A Farewell To Kings Yes - Fragile It broke my heart not having Rainbow, Opeth, King Crimson, ELP, VDGG, etc on the list, not to mention Hendrix, The Who, The Beatles etc

It’s a great subject. When it comes to essential albums we have to go outside the prog sphere. I’ll come up with my 20. They are not necessarily my favourite albums but rather they are important albums. Also there are some artists that would have multiple albums but I’m only going to pick one. So without further ado and in no particular order: 1. The Beatles - Revolver 2. Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited 3. Jimi Hendrix. - Are You Experienced 4. The Who - Who’s Next 5. Led Zeppelin - lV 6. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon 7. Yes - Fragile 8. Deep Purple - Machinehead 9. Black Sabbath - Paranoid 10. The Doors - The Doors 11. Genesis - Selling England by the Pound 12. Jethro Tull - Aqualung 13. Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed 14. Supertramp - Crime of the Century 15. David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders From Mars 16. Moody Blues - Days of Future Past 17. Van Morrison - Moondance 18. Steely Dan - Aja 19. Beach Boys - Pet Sounds 20. Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road If you’re starting a record collection you can’t go wrong with this list. As I said they’re not necessarily my favourites by these particular artists but all of them are touchstones for 20th century rock music. 🤘😳🤘

Popul vuh/ace ,their debut album. The lead singer was offered an audition for Genesis aften Gabriel left but he stayed loyal to his bandmates and turned down the offer from Genesis. Wobbler (Dwellers of the deep ) Retro prog, sounds like Yes and Gentle Giant.Check out the song Five rooms. Leprous. modern prog. Check out their song Running low. Kalandra. Folky Prog. Check out their debut album The line. You got a new subscriber. Prog on🤘

I have no idea how you 2 popped up on my radar...but you have....was not expecting what I expected..i expected possibly the cure..stranglers...nirvana..talking heads (all the acts I mentioned are great imo)..me being prejudiced by your appearance so I apologise in advance of my limited ignorance...but was really surprised by your collection...a really good choice of LPs...never got into Chicago or King Crimson...but will start to give them a try...have had Marilion on the radar ...but do agree with aqualung .. quadrophinia ...foxtrot and the rest.... would have dropped in a Santana..10cc ..Queen ..bowie Roxy Music... Elton John.. bob marley..stevie Wonder..but this is your choice and not mine so I respect that...great choices again..thanks for your video.. to the world out there..never let peoples appearance deceive you.... people look at me think I listen to 50 cents..Rianna .. tpac etc..which is fine if you like these acts... are shocked when I throw in Deep Purple.. ELO.. Donna Summers (yes odd but true)... Status Quo...there are no rules in music..
