I've watched all three videos of this series (unless there are more--I'll go looking for 'em, of course), from the $100 or less to this one, and I have to say I'm hooked on the idea of breeding snakes. I love these little noodles. :-) They're so beautiful and personable, and the mutations for those colours and patterns are freakin' **amazing*. I'd love to be able to explore the genetics to see what I could create with the combinations. I've even been to the Genetic Wizard site (gonna have to find it again--it was one of those 'down the rabbit hole' moments) and that'll be super helpful with the gene-combos. Maybe I'll be lucky and discover something no one else has found before! I'm learning so much from your vids, and from quite a few others on care, costs, and treatment of simple ailments (and even more serious ones). It just affirms my love for reptiles of all sorts. ~=========~ I'm not so comfortable with keeping them in the dark in those tubs, though. I understand the saving space issue, but it just seems rather cramped in there, even though I know they're nocturnal little guys. Perhaps I could find a solution to that. *creative mind revs up* Maybe slightly larger glass tubs I can see into with bioactive substrate--less need for cleaning and replacement (saves $$)--and hide-outs with a branch and fake foliage they can slither through for a bit of mental stimulation. I do realize breeders try to save costs as much as possible on their operations, and I'd do my best to do the same while offering the best life I could with my snakes. So my operation (assuming I ever get to do this) would likely stay small. :-)

When buying certain morphs how do you know if you should pick a male or a female 🤔
@deadmanomegagaming40614 жыл бұрын
Personally for recessives i would go males as it means you can breed it to multiple females and get more hets which means more pairs which will produce a visual. For the others i dont think it matters too much. I would advise having more females than males though. Keep in mind that this is all my personal opinion and should be taken with a grain of salt.
@andreheise11704 жыл бұрын
@@deadmanomegagaming4061 Your opinion makes a lot of sense to me ;-)

It doesn't really matter, but most people will buy expensive males and breed them to several cheaper females just to save money.
