You understand that verse wrong! You should understand how they built the gates to cities in those days. The gates were huge to protect the people within the city. When the gates closed in the evening, a small door could be used by travellers to enter the city. The small door was big enough to fit a camel through. Camels were their vehicles, like we used horses. The camels had to bend down to get through that small gate. Rich men will always enter heaven. It depends on their faith. It's just more difficult for rich people to lay down their way of life and follow Jesus.

Many stories in the Bible are symbolic to teach a life lesson or prove a point. The authors of the 66 books in the Bible never intended for their stories to be literally interpreted. My pastor who we called Bishop taught a message that was all about his revelation on the word and “ in the now” He had the whole congregation believe that his teachings were the real message. Then he came out and confessed he was gay and that he and his wife would no longer be husband and wife. He is married to a man now and still has a church. He messed up a lot of people. By your faulty interpretation you have created a contradiction. 1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin we DECEIVE ourselves and the truth is NOT in us. So, point 1. We sin. We as believers will sin until God calls us home. Now 1 John 3:9 cannot mean we don't sin or else he is contradicting himself. That's obvious. So what does 1 John 3:9 mean in CONTEXT of 1 John 1:8? It does not mean sinless perfection in this life. It means who ever is born of God will no longer commit habitual sin as a way of life. Our desire is to live for God not for sinful pleasure. Although PRACTICALLY we still sin. And you create another false heretical belief by thinking you can stop sinning in this life. Not only are you deceived, but you do not understand your own corrupt fallen nature, and you don't understand the holiness and perfection of God. Jesus didn't just die on a cross to redeem us, but He also walked the earth for 33 years to , as the bible says, fulfill all righteousness. God requires perfection, and only Christ is perfect and holy. He lived the PERFECT SINLESS OBEIDIENCE , that the Father required which we could never do. He lived that in our place. So I would suggest you stop listening to heretics who will continue to lead you astray.

I have to say that I went to a Joyce Meyer convention/sermon..>I even volunteered to sell books after the sermon, but as I was doing that, I got a real chill. Seriously, it was something not good surrounding me. I sort of felt that during the sermon too...I did not go back. These false teachers will pay dearly. Kenneth Copeland almost looks like the devil himself..I'm happy you posted this because it just validates how my gut feels when I hear any of these types of false teachers...Most I have not heard of, but think I will stick to home praying & attending my local little place of worship that actually reads from the Bible. The Bible is the truth...

That is stealing. If I were a business owner again, I would feel the same way Joyce did and do the same. If one of your workers is drinking the lemon aid at your lemon aid stand without permission. I was a word of Faith preacher. I followed most of them. Not Benny, Joel, Kenneth, Jesse. (You left off Randy). Didn’t follow the money guys. After 15 years in the ministry, God opened my eyes. My wife and I cried for days. How could we be so deceived???? Anyway, I am now out of all that. See, the thing is you don’t know you are deceived when you are deceived. After 2 years, God pulled us out, revealed to us the biblical truths the pastor was violating. That happened over 40 years ago. (I was very disturbed by the promotion of wealth and prosperity, but was newly saved and thought that maybe that was Christian doctrine and true.) I used to donate to Jesse Duplantis Ministries for quite some time. I also would get his message on CD then his magazine. After he was asking for x amount to help purchase a new jet to 'spread the Gospel', I thought if he is this 'rich' why doesn't he buy it himself? He uses people like he has done. I am no longer affiliated with him or his ministry. I gave up on watching his sermons. I gave away his magazines, CDs, threw the letters away. I don't need him to tell me about God.

We also have prosperity preachers, but thank God, people are already waking up and realizing that Jesus is not a magic wand. We were saved to do His will on this earth. Even the local churches have become "franchises" and it's truly hard to find good pastors and good churches. I went to my mom's church a couple times and I really liked the way the pastor preached. So one day I told my mom I wanted to be baptized. I reached out to the pastor because I heard he was going to be baptizing his church soon. He rejected to do that for me because he didn't think I was going to be a steady member of his church. And so I have yet to be baptized and kinda feel sad that churches have become this way.
