Be the light so they can see and admire Christ in you. I have strong feelings that you may be a stumbling block for them, and I will keep you in my prayers.

At some point, we have to trust Tyndale, Wycliffe, Luther translation of the Greek. “Tongues” and languages are not the same…not in the Biblical sense. Tongues” is a spiritual gift. That’s why Paul calls it a SPIRITUAL manifestation-1 Corinthians 14:12. That’s totally distinct from “languages”. So when Paul is talking about the various “KINDS” of tongues he’s not talking about Mandarin, Spanish, English…he’s referring to the Spiritual gift of tongues that he breaks down in 1 Corinthians 14:2….speaking to God or praying BY THE SPIRIT. And he litterally goes over the KINDS of tongues in 1 Corinthians 14. The prayer language- 1 Corinthians 14:2, Sign tongues- 1 Corinthians 14:22 where a believer will speak in tongues and the Holy Spirit will speak through them in a known foreign language as a sign to an unbeliever, then you have the gift of tongues in 1 Corinthians 14:26-27- where a believer will speak in tongues out loud in a public setting and someone will give the interpretation. Those are the KINDS of tongues. This is deeper than just regular languages and that’s why Tyndale, others choose the word “TONGUES” as a distinction….if you don’t grasp this understanding, you’ll never get tongues. And nonbelievers, ex Christians believe that “tongues” are just known languages…as well as Black Hebrew Israelites. That’s something to ponder on.

Just sounds to me like you, yourself, Cory are in UNBELIEF, and lack faith outside of yourSELF (aka your flesh). Outside of the bible have YOU ever witnessed a miracle? Or heard of a miracle being done and believed the testimony? Have you ever heard the Lord's voice for yourself? Have you ever been given a word in the name of the Lord and received it? Has the Lord ever put His word on your tongue and charged you to speak it to a particular person?What spiritual gifts have you been given from the Holy Ghost? You know and can identify alot of false prophets. Will you please name some of the true prophets and faithful men of God on the earth right now? Asking for some unwise Christians.😇

He’s right about everything except for word of knowledge and various kinds of tongues. Paul is not talking about known languages that are learned, he’s literally talking about the spiritual gift of tongues.

Maybe you’re new but check out the video “Friendliest debate about tongues” and I’ve had dialogues on other videos Corey has done so he definitely knows my stance lol. And I have put a bunch of Scriptures on this thread to prove my point. Corey doesn’t speak in tongues so he doesn’t understand the spiritual component of tongues…at all. And if you watch the debates he’s done with Dr Micheal Brown and also this guy name Sam- video “I was wrong about tongues” , he was exposed on that. Corey is like Nicodemus. Good Bible teacher, but doesn’t fully comprehend the things of the Spirit.

@@FishermanBubb I’m not new here I’ve seen all the videos. I grew up in a word of faith church so I am familiar with all the interpretations used to justify tongues as it used today. Dr. Michael Brown has lost all credibility backing known heretics so please don’t use him as a source. I don’t care what dr Michael brown thinks. I do not agree with Corey on a lot of things but his rebuke of the charasmatic church is valid and tongues is clearly used as a tool to suspend the disbelief of Christian’s who champion word of faith, prosperity gospel. I’m not going to argue with you. If you are going to pray in tongues, then at least follow the guidelines in the Bible. No more than 2 or 3 and with interpretation. If it were done that way, few people would even know about it to make any comment. Charasmatics choose to ramble out loud in multitudes like a mantra. Clearly not supported by scripture. And if you choose to use tongues as a prayer language, that’s between you and God. The scripture doesn’t support it but that is between you and God. I never see a church who preaches sound doctrine practice tongues but all the questionable churches with loose and heretical doctrine seem to all be filled with spirit and speak in tongues.why is that the case? Never seen a new convert immediately start speaking in tongues. It’s always coaxed out by a pastor or another tongue speaker. The Bible is clear God gives spiritual gifts, not by another person guiding you. I’m not new to this, I felt this way years b4 seeing Corey’s content. You will not find any serious scholar of the Bible Greek or otherwise that believes tongues is how it is presented today. And if you claim those scholars do not have the spirit like most charasmatics tend to say, then you need to prove that as well. Not to mention the history of the tongues of today, look back at how we got here, the track record of the fathers of this movement is not very good. I am not against the tongues of the Bible. I am against the fabrication of the tongues of today that is ALWAYS attached to some heretical doctrine.i know you have heard this all b4 and still choose to carry on, so let’s just agree to disagree. @@KingTurkey30What do you mean “choose to carry on”? I do believe in tongues(angelic and known) and that’s Scripture. Folks can say what they want, but they can’t refute the Scriptures I give. If you go back to the convos I had with Corey, he couldn’t do that. All he could do was cut me off and keep changing the subject. The same accusation that people who are noncharismatic say against charismatics, they’re doing as well. They let their experience override Scripture. Because they had bad experiences in charismatic churches, they are skeptical of tongues, prophecy. It’s all Biblical but you’re leaning on your own understanding. And I was there. In a season of my life, I was trying to get away from Pentecostalism. But what made me know for sure that tongues was real and from God is when I spoke in tongues when I was going to a BAPTIST church that was not teaching or emphasizing spiritual gifts. I was worshiping Jesus one night and spoke in tongues. And although you may say it was an experience, my experience aligns with Scripture-Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17, 1 Corinthians 14:2, Acts 10, Acts 19.
