Bass is FAR too quiet in the mix! If you listen to "Ain't No Stoppin'"...the bass is... THE MAIN THING! All you can hear here is Pete's funky chord-work.

This is usually what happens unfortunately. Even without drums, Andertons always manages to bury the bass under the guitar on AATB.

This was my wheel house back in the day. I lived in San Diego back in the mid to late 70’s. Great bass players like Nathan East and Jason Scheff were playing the club scene then before they made the big time. Top bass riffs have to include Forget Me Nots Patrice Rushen, Good Times Chic, I Want Your Love Chic, Back In Love Again LTD, For The Love Of Money O’Jays. Money was released in ‘73 so it really doesn’t qualify as a disco riff but it’s one of best. The bass player even got writing credits for his part and didn’t just get scale for playing on the tune.
