We love camping in the Colville National Forest(Washington State), dispersed camping areas. We like it because it’s free!

Cloudland Canyon is our favorite Georgia state park, we were there in early November of 2020 and the beauty of the canyons with the falls colors was stunning. I can't believe I grew up and lived in East TN for 30 years and never knew about it. Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL and Chief Logan State Park in Logan, WV are 2 of our favorites as is Inks Lake State Park outside Austin, TX.

Just stayed at Lookout Mtn/Chattanooga West KOA. Not far from Cloudland Canyon (but we didn't get there) Great little campground with a pool and FHU, with a lot to do in the area. I have finally seen Rock City after seeing the barn roof ads most of my life.

Labeling as favorites can be very hard. Depends on what type of camping you are going for. Still very new to rving, but I already know that one place is great for relaxing and another is great for doing stuff. Good job on the video. Your recommendation for A.H. Stephens has become my favorite for relaxing so far.

Love AH Stephens! Yes, this was a tough list. Luckily these aren’t the only good spots to choose from!

Yes, we like to check out other places. We are in California so most likely I will never get there. But still like looking at different places. Good job.

We've been to most of those, we really like Mckinney and Sawnee (a few Sawnee sites are great but 20 minutes from our west forsyth home adds alot of benefit for us)

We have been to Vogel and Cloudland. Loved both. One that is not on your list but my family really appreciated when our boys were younger was Stone Mountain. The campground is good on the main site (I think its purple loop) but there is so much to do. The hiking trails, the park itself with the ropes course, water attraction, and then the show itself. Its great for kids 4-13

Grew up 20 minutes from Stone Mountain. It’s great for a weekend. Just don’t go too far from the park.

FD Roosevelt is one of my faves for all the hiking, Vogel is the only other Ga SP we've experienced. We have done almost all there is to do at Roosevelt so now it's time time to commit to making Cloudland. Do you know if there is a booking site for Corps of Engineers campgrounds?
@WanderingWeekends2 жыл бұрын
I believe most COEs are booked through recreation.gov

We love Shady Grove Campground in Cumming, GA. It’s on the quiet side of Lake Lanier. It has large sites with paved pads. It’s very shady, thus the name.
@scdbrown2 жыл бұрын
Shady Grove is also our go to..love the large private sites on the water.. Also like the 24 hour gate access. Most of the Corps parks have no way to enter and exit park between 10pm and 7am which can be aggravating.. Staff at Shady Grove is very friendly
