Born and raised in Buffalo (canisius college are) but been gone since 2012. I lived in New York City, Atlanta and now currently living in Los Angeles. I remember Williamsville was a prestigious area but totally forgot how dirt cheap it is to live in Western New York. Only 369,000 for Williamsville?! Not even $500K smh I got so used to New York/California prices that 369,000 sounds like pennies to me.

I had a video done on taxes a little while back, and the city if buffalo taxes are extremely reasonable compared to the rest of Erie and Niagara county. No matter what section of the city you are in

Any suburb south of the westside historically gets A LOT MORE SNOW. I'm in Amherst which has always been nice, clean, and safe. Stay north, Amherst, Clarence, Lockport, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Pendleton, Newfane; all north of Buffalo.

I was born and raised in Cheektowaga, mid 60's - mid '80's. Good place to grow up at the time.

Cheektowaga and West Seneca also allowed middle class parents to move out of the city and build affordable homes in brand new developments. But they don't belong in the top 5. As I grew older, realized these other communities were in a different class.

@@buffaloliving2.0devontedav65 honestly the suburbs are gross. I like the older architecture in the city. I've had to restart several times in my life and grew up dirt poor so suburb living has never really been an aspiration of mine. Getting a house would be enough.
