In this English lesson I'll help you learn the English equivalent of some very common things that kids say. This lesson is based on my own experience as a dad. Jen and I have 5 kids, and I think we've heard it all!
I thought I would come up with a list of the 5 most common things we hear. These are questions or statements that our kids have said over the past years, and continue to say now.
As an English learner you'll be able to learn these common phrases quickly and I hope they help you in your next conversation!
Have a great day!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

It got me a smile. My niece and nephew are perfectly bilingual and said the same things in both languages when they were kids. When they argued with the parents about having more juice and little things like that they spoke in Spanish to the mother from Liverpool and in English to the Spanish father. Little children are not stupid.

I think losing something is not only for children a problem. I lei always things in some place without remembering where. When I still was married, I could ask my wife. Sometimes, even though we are 12 years divorced, I tell her via phone, where things are. So I can ask her later. I say always to her, You are my old hard drive. For example, I forgot my EC-card pin totally, because I take very seldom money from the bank account. She had it. Perhaps I'm getting old especially since I am a pensioner.

Kids will also sometimes deny that they say these things when you call them out. Like, I wouldn’t be surprised to know that one of Mr. Bob’s kids came up to him after watching this video and went “Come on dad! I never say this! When did I say that!” Good luck dealing with that, Mr. Bob. Haha! Thanks for being an awesome father and teacher. It’d be interesting to see the student version of this. 😅👨‍👦👨🏼‍🏫 PS. I loved how you said “adult” the British way at 1:01 and then the American way at 4:00. You are definitely Canadian!
