One of the best ways that I figured out how to get rid of stress was to remove toxic family from my life entirely. That’s the best vitamin supplement ever

Not just toxic family but toxic "friends" too - any toxic people & situations. Yes, we all need to learn to cope in life's ups & downs. But when it's *toxic* then we need to cut out.

@@jolan630 I know how you feel. I felt like I had to accept abusive and toxic people who always made me feel sad while or after I interacted with them. But then I found out that if I got rid of toxic family, get therapy, read self help books, do a lot of healing, and realize that the trauma I had suffered from emotional abuse, gaslighting, and neglect made me feel like EVERYONE was constantly attacking me. Now after lots of therapy, and staying away from my family of origin (who continue to be toxic and would send me right back into that headspace,) I can more easily deal with people in healthy ways. And I’m able to start having healthy relationships instead of only abusive and crazy ones. I wish you healing also, :)

As crazy as it sounds, if I was having a really bad day, I would go to Dunkin Donuts down the street & get a thick coffee shake. I always felt better after it. I think anxiety wears you out & the caffeine gave you enough energy to get through it. I didn't do it every day. One day they got rid of the ice cream machine. That shake was my "medicine" & they took it away. I started making my own shakes but it wasn't the same of course. Regular coffee did nothing. Just the shake.

Very glad to hear your son is overcoming anxiety with some of these nutrients. And a fair point I should have mentioned, nutrients take time and consistency to heal the body, unlike drugs which have a short term benefit but long term side effects. It takes time and new habits to fix a problem, months. So glad to hear your son is eating lots of veggies and all the best to your family. 💚

@@krklife594 - it’s been a roller coaster. I’m still taking my vitamins & pristiq (6 weeks) I felt good on 3-4 days then I have a bad day. Now I’ve decided on getting off my meds. I’m doing better at work but I don’t think the meds are having a positive effect. I also had spartavo ( ketamine spray) I ran today. My first time in a long time. I can’t do gym now as I have a frozen shoulder & and injured my back . So now I’m on a 6 day leave. I’m gonna do a lot more physical exercises. If I can’t run , I’ll walk but I’m gonna limit my screen time only during dinner. Wish me luck . I stopped Pristiq cold turkey for 5 days, felt giddy & broke down decided to take half a 50 g tablet , now I’m 50 hours without it , the giddiness isn’t as bad as last week. Gonna keep myself as active. If I do breakdown, I’ll be ready. Btw I was suicidal 10 days ago , that’s why I’m stopping my meds . I wasn’t suicidal before my meds . I started end November. Brintellix (4 weeks) , Valdoxan (4 weeks) added wellbrutin in January ( made me suicidal) then tried Pristiq mid January with ketamine. I feel great at work not anywhere else. I feel horrible at home. My wife avoids me when I breakdown. In all my 25 years of marriage I’ve never broken down. Unfortunately since October, I’ve become a giant vagina & have been spewing tears . So my wife hates me . I’m trying to get back to my normal self . Physical activity is the new pill I’m replacing my Pristiq with. Wish me luck . Keep at it & avoid negative negative thoughts, people if it’s possible. I’m also reading Feeling good by Dr David Burns. Let’s keep in touch & watch each other fight this . 🙏🏼

If you are struggling with anxiety that is anything more than low level stress none of this will do anything at all. If you have an anxiety disorder all these things will do is help your overall health as they would anyone. This video correctly explains the physical response to anxiety - ie worry the fearful thoughts that we call worry about anthing or everything that then set of the physical sensations. This then becomes the problem itself - the person is concerned and becomes fearful of their own thoughts and feelings and tries to escape them, in trying to escape them it does the opposite it creates more anxiety and then it becomes a cycle, an anxiety disorder. This is a mental health issue, a cognitive problem that also causes a physical reaction it is not a physical illness and treating the physical symptoms wont work. To resolve the issue we need to reframe our relationship with anxiety and our thinking, anxiety is normal and part of being human - it is not something we need to fix or cure, we can learn that it’s actually ok and we don’t need to think our way out of it. CBT is the gold standard particularly ERP, ACT and MCT along with learning mindfulness. Once we return to a normal relationship to our thoughts and feelings anxiety will rise and then fall on its own, that is what it’s supposed to do our bodies do it naturally - its when we start thinking something is wrong and needs fixing it becomes a problem - once we allow and embrace anxiety and let it come and go paradoxically it will resolve on its own. It is the fear of fear that is the problem, this will bring your cortisol up but its not caused by cortisol - you don’t need to treat cortisol you fix your relationship to your thoughts and feelings and all these things will resolved themselves as your body is designed to do.

Ryan Taylor, after looking at Multitudes of You Tube videos by very good doctors / Nutritionists - this one takes The Cake. It is a Winner. Wonderful advice. Didn't know about Vitamin B1 being that crucial. Common beliefs are for B-12 , but all the B vitamins are important for your body. I have suffered from Anxiety since the second grade (maybe 7 yo) - started with nail biting for years (still do it occasionally). Yes, I suffered some not so nice childhood traumas which can & do affect your Psyche for life. But when the Cortisol / Adrenaline Overflows the Rain Barrels in you .... Bingo Anxiety / Panic attacks. Now at my age (71) battling this DEMON for many years, and with the constant Chronic pains of Spinal Arthritis (in many other joints too), with taking supplements (many of them mentioned here), I am better to handle the extreme anxiety. For the sufferers out there, this Video serves as fantastic advice in the battle. And be sure to go to your doctors for complete physical exams - check your Thyroid glands too. I wish All Wellness !!

Just a recommendation(I have tried so many i have lost count) if supplementing vitamin D3, get cod liver oil tablets. It will likely have the same dose of D3 as well as DHA and EPA, the label on the back of the bottle will say. Ashwagandha, get the KSM-66 version(look up why as it's quite long). Magnesium, make sure to read the label on the back again, you might have to read the ingredients as some brands will not have it listed properly, i say this as some types of magnesium arent aborbed well like citrate which is often used a laxative. Also a magnesium cream will enable you to absorb the most. Most are deficient in magnesium and zinc, so worth topping up on them both. Morning sun, Exercise, good quality sleep play such huge role.

one thing that no one thinks about when they suffer from anxiety is blood sugar. Especially when the anxiety attack grabs you in your sleep, be careful to measure your blood sugar. I happened to wake up from sleep with tremors and agitation, my blood sugar was quite low and I didn't know it. Initially I thought I was having a panic attack, although I didn't really have a reason, I had had an easy day at work, I had eaten quite healthy, and I had even taken a relaxing walk before sleep. Then I thought it was due to stomach hyperacidity, but after taking the antacids, the bad condition and tremors persisted. The day before, I had measured my blood sugar in the morning and it was somewhere around 60, but that evening I did not have access to my mother's glucometer, so I tried to drink water with sugar. After doing this, I recovered in about 15 minutes. I mention that at the same time I am also facing a vitamin D deficiency. therefore, check the level of blood vitamins and glucose, because the causes of anxiety can be caused by physical problems and will not disappear with psychotherapy or psychiatric treatment if the physical illness is not treated properly.

You are completely correct. I believe all anxiety and depression is biochemical. Either sugar levels, vit deficiency, or lack of exercise which produces serotonin. Anti anxiety meds have addictive properties BUT are essential as rescue meds. Adding omega 3 (sockeye salmon, sardines, crill oil),no sugar in diet, no complex carbs, and sunshine will fix anxiety in a couple of days. Sleep is essential and no toxic people in your life..practice calmness..enjoy the good moments..

@@patriciawightman4561 and the other thing that one person should check when has anxiety is the digestive system. Is conected with the brain , is also named the second brain. The info works both ways. From brain to stomach/colon, and from stomach to brain. If one of them is stressed , the other one suffers. If you have acid reflux , hiatal hernia or other digestive problems your brain and respiratory system will be stressed and somethines you don't even know why. Alway check out any physical problem that can cause anxiety and only then go to a psychiatrist for pills. Of course, I'm not talking here about people who have obsessions and other serious problems. I mean people who feel stress and anxiety without a clear cause. I also found out yesterday that I have a hiatal hernia and acid reflux and sometimes I feel like I'm restless for no reason and I feel like I'm suffocating. It took me years to realize that I have acid reflux and after the check-up I also discovered the cause of it and the pain: hernia. conclusion, check your physical health before anything else. A good psychiatrist should send you to do this before drugging you.
@patriciawightman4561

I totally agree! Psychiatrists tend to only use psychotropics and are relatively ignorant about the brain/ gut connection. Sugar, for example can cause panic attacks. Just stopping glucose and fructose in diet, along with gluten can alleviate many symptoms.

@@motherof1132 sorry for the delay didn’t see your message. Yeah i was able to get off. I ended up getting back on lexapro about a year later but my wife miscarried and i think it just sent me into a bit of a spiral. Apart from that i was doing well without it and doing therapy with psychologist. I personally don’t think SSRI are addictive. I do think though like any medicine u need to get off them correctly and slowly. The biggest thing I realized from 2 tapers is to go super super slow especially when you get under 10mg. You can drop quite quickly from 20 to 15. I personally felt no side effects actually i just felt better like i had my energy back lol. 15-10 aint so bad as well if u have adjusted well to 15. It was for me when i got to 5mg and 2.5mg where I really started to feel it but it was definitely manageable. I was prescribed valium just to help on the days I really struggled which weren’t too many. I just did a much slower taper. Most docs will get u to drop in chunks of 5mg. I say HELL NO to that especially once u get under 10mg. I dropped to 7.5mg and stayed at that dose for 2 weeks. And kept doing that in 2.5mg drops. I only really felt it when I got to 2.5. I had a bad few days but it was fine. Try not to read too much on the internet. I feel like SSRI have such a bad stigma and people who say it’s addictive I had to get back on etc are blaming the medicine but to me that’s just a sign that your mental health has relapsed. I look at it as a crutch. I’ve broken my leg and can’t walk so I’m using medicine to help me walk while i build muscles slowly to not need them anymore. I’ve done fine off them but just chose to go back. I’ve chronically had anxiety and depression my whole life so for me quality of life was way more important then me struggling to try and do it all naturally I just didn’t have the capacity at the time. SSRI deffo not addictive despite what stupid ppl on the internet will tell you
