The Top Shelf Live Panel With Glossier & Into The Gloss

The other day Emily Weiss hosted our first ever Top Shelf Live panel. In conversation with ITG mainstays Kate Young, Elaine Welteroth, and Leandra Medine, they expanded on that "Beauty in Real Life" tagline you've heard so much about. Highlights included:
- A story about Emily Weiss teaching Leandra's husband Abie how to mask while in Paris for Fashion Week
- Elaine's recent trip to Seoul, and the electric shock that gives you the equivalent of a four-hour workout in 20 minutes
- Kate's truthbomb: "I don't want to look old...but I don't want to look different either."

What is with all these women that are part of a beauty panel reticent to admit that they exert any effort to take care of their appearance? "All my friends do this but I don't really get it....oh wait well except I get laser oh wait I also go to the facialist oh wait I get my hair dyed" Vanity is frowned upon I understand but why is there still this stigma even at a BEAUTY event?

Leandra and the successful stylist (Hollywood stars) plz wear makeup, concealer, mascara foundation. You work in image, fashion and suddenly you hate to wear it?! Absolutely ridiculous, at home do not comb your hair but don't tell me you don't like wearing makeup because you realize you won't look like a model.that reflects to me like serious image issues and it does contradicts me on why should I look up to you and give you money profit?
