There is socially liberal and economically liberal. Labour was always high tax's and big spending. Traditionally Tory's were low tax's, fiscal responsibility, and small state. The interesting difference between the right wing of the party and the one nation group is one is socially liberal and the other is socially conservative. One nation think internationally and would be appalled about leaving the ECHR, worrying about the damage to our reputation. The right understand that to have any chance of controlling immigration we must leave and that putting the interests of Britain before international opinion is the priority.
