Placing York Mills and Victoria Park next to each other is cool. Old friends of my parents used to live near Victoria Park and Ellesmere, and had frequent service on bus routes connecting to those stations, namely 95 York Mills and 24 Victoria Park.

How did you know?! :D Funny story though: my very first KZbin video, WAAAY back in 2012, was a song setting the Tube Stations of just Zone 1 to the tune of the Mexican Hat Dance, which was published over a year before Jay's song. So while "Every Tube Station Song" was my inspiration to try a directly similar thing in Toronto, I have been writing subway-themed songs for longer than he has :p WHAT'S MORE: while I don't know him personally, I grew up in London and we were only one degree of separation from each other (I went to summer camps with his sister; we weren't super close, but friends enough to be FB friends). Those are both great ideas - I particularly like "This Stupidly Long One" as it scans perfectly! (in the place of "and York University" for example). Well, at least I have four years to think about it :) I would heartily encourage everyone to follow their patter song dreams, and would definitely listen to and enjoy a Toronto School Song!
