The melodic intensity of Rabea's riffs are unmatched
@tudorsintoma9619 Жыл бұрын
Couldn't have put it better in words. His riffs always have that melodic elememt to them, no matter how heavy or intense, which I think makes him stand out over other guitar players in this genre
@joesatchton212 Жыл бұрын
Pretty much every time I listen to music from Rabea I always have a huge smile on my face as I think back to how far that shy, slightly awkward presenter from Anderton's has come. I smile and am, oddly, so frickin' proud of the incredible, versatile, always interesting musician Rabea has become. Onward and upward to more and more success and recognition Bea....Ya done good, but your best is yet to come. XD

Them Changes: so many people, including me as a rule, are inclined to view someone of immense talent we've only just recently discovered as the "next Hendrix." but Jimi's biggest gripe that I ever was aware of was the sort of thing that his label told him after the Are You Experienced album, which was "give us 4 more of those." he wanted more than anything else to forge ahead with what flowed from within and brought into existence all that he was and is so praised for in the first place. inspiration is a living river, not a stagnation. for the remainder of his brief life he did that and as a result we were gifted with such as Live at the Fillmore East with Buddy MIles. my way of thinking is to want a vocalist that jives with what I'm hearing right here in this work. I do think that could be killer...but I'll just accept it for what it is: something wonderous that I have not heard before. CaliPsych a.k.a. Mr Dave

I just love the way you mix a nice beefy low end, with a kick drum that actually sounds like a kick drum. That's kind of rare in heavy music/metal. Great stuff!
@neighbourhoodmusician Жыл бұрын
Yep. I hate the overly boomy + clicky style of a lot of modern metal kicks. This is one you 'feel' and that supports the bass, rather than just overpowering it.

Yeah I noticed this too! All of Bea's music is heavy but doesn't lean into a lot of the tropes, it is its own sound and massive like nothing else.

This stuff is truly inspired. It contains some of the melodic chunky goodness of the Toska stuff I've loved for years but is decidedly more modern. The drumming super engaging and in your face which matches the intensity of the guitar perfectly. Instant classic!

Fantastic! This resonates perfectly with the archetype of music I have in my mind, it has rage but clarity, strong and complex drum patterns, awesome guitar riffs and sounds, all tight together and played at the highest level.. wow...this evokes something new and at least for myself I can say I am not the same after having listened to this! Absolutely a superior product, and an example for all of us that are loving playing and listening to music. Well done, waiting surely for more Totemist music! Cheers!

BRO. Karnivool is one of my favorite bands. There first album themata the guitarist wrote ALL the drums and guitars. This really reminded me of almost like a mixture of what they achieved on there later records with the proggy sound while still retaining those amazing, repeating grooves and riffs. AMAZING work man. I also get shades of tom morello on some of the riffs.

Holy Hell!!! I know you are about to hear this 100million times but the absolute standout is the bass tone! I know I am slightly biased but holy wow is it insane!!! I know that you put so so much work into these songs man but honestly what you have achieved this time around is another level up. Leaving the string noise in over jostled to add tension! What a move! Thankyou both sincerely for creating this incredible music!

Wow dudes, I don't know what to say what hasn't already been said but this truly sounds amazing. First of all the songwriting is amazing every song takes you on a trip, with plenty of creative sidesteps and great dynamics making the heavy part slap you even more. The mix is insane, I love how you brought the filth and beef back to modern progressive rock/metal it is all way to sterile for liking nowadays. And the musicianship is outstanding, that drummer is amazing dude! I'd love to see and hear this live, it would blow me away for sure!
