There is no WTA Ranking data from 1968-1983, so I had to start with 1984. Of course, players like M.Navratilova and Ch.Evert would have many more wins if we added statistics from the beginning of the Open Era.

Since Chris obviously has the record , 90 percent overall in matches won, ignoring Evert is once again ignoring the comprehension of Everts consistancy. Day in day out No other player came as prepared as Chris Evert.

No one played the Australian open (other than Australians) in the 1970s. And Chris Evert skipped the French open a number of times during the years she had an unbroken winning streak on clay. I’m so tired of grand slam titles being the most important measure of greatness. Martina said if she had known that she would have played more of them.

Despite all of Serena's extra years of playing its inevitably Graf who still comes out on top in so many key statistics. Steffi retires at 30 with107 career titles...Serena playing all the way to 41 finishes with only 73 career titles Steffi retires at 30 with a record 377 weeks at no.1...Serena playing all the way to 41 finishes with 319 weeks at no.1 and it goes on and on...Steffi a record 8 times the year-end no.1...Serena only 5...etc etc

It’s like saying - here’s a list of the best movies ever made from 1940 to today. That way 1939 is not on the list so Gonevwith the Wind. , Wizard of Oz, mr smith goes to Washington, is not on the list, ignoring Everts spot on the top.

exactly, I can understand not including matches from before 1968, but all top players from the Open Era should be on the list, including Margaret Court and BJK, and, of course, Chris Evert had WAY more than Steffi's 200, and Martina Navratilova had way more too
