Low int characters provide some of the best comedic memories in TTRPGs! I usually play high-int casters or such in D&D, but during a short campaign our DM asked us specifically to make characters totally different from our usual types. So I went with a low-int, low-wis barbarian... and that allowed one of my fondest D&D memories to happen. My guy was from a desert tribe, so he didn't know much about creatures that don't live in the desert. Our party heard there were hill giants around, and the rogue decided to fuck with my guy by telling him, "Those giants are as big as entire hills!" I was allowed to roll an insight check... but with my low wisdom, I failed miserably. So for the rest of the campaign, my guy was *terrified* of these hill-sized giants. Like, if he ever met one, he'd shit himself. So about two or three sessions later, we encounter some hill giants attacking us. My guy goes, "Hey, wait... they're not that big!" To which our rogue responds, "These are the BABIES!" The DM offered me an insight check, and I was just like, "...no, nope, no roll needed. He fully believes this and is now actually shitting himself." 😂
