Pinedale is the home you never knew you needed… we were during the school homecoming… the entire town came out for the parade… either watching or participating…. It’s my true love from far away!! Next time you’re there, go to the hatchery in Daniel, it’s just over 100 years old and they are doing amazing work!! Thank you for sharing!!!!

Moved to Rock Springs last month. First drive North tomorrow on 191. Pinedale will be a great place for lunch. Perhaps the tavern. That's why I'm surfing vids about Pinedale and food. The drive from there to the Teton's is beautiful and I can't wait. It will be a great Thursday for sure!

The best thing I saw and heard was your kid say “excuse me” to get your attention I love it. Says a lot about the kid and the parents. You guys are raising a great future. 🙏🏽

I spent six months guiding for an Outfitter out of Pinedale Wyoming back in the mid-90s. Amazing area. I find the backcountry to be prettier there than here in Colorado.

Thanks for sharing! I live in Casper, Wyoming...no car, so I can't get around to tour Wyoming & I especially want to see Pinedale. Its close to mountains, trees, water, which I love, being from the Olympic Peninsula, in Wash. State. Be safe out there & enjoy! 🙂

I use to be a FedEx courier in Pinedale back in 1990 and 91. I worked out of Rock Springs. Daniel, Pinedale, Cora, Big Piney were all on my route. It would take several chapters to tell what all I saw and experienced. Beautiful country and great people. Winters were brutal though for this Mississippi boy.

If I am not mistaken Pinedal gets -40 below in the winter 🥶🥶
@matthewb3640 Жыл бұрын
It can get -40 but it's more on the windy side in the winter being in the flats. Talked to my friend there and he said still 2 ft of snow.. which is a lot for the flats. I lived at 8000 ft 30 miles north of there. Where 4 ft and -40 are more common

Yes! We felt the same way about Pinedale. stayed in the same RV park the night before getting to town.We also spent a night at the brand new Yellowstone RV park on the other side of town. We did two hikes while there, One was the Sacred Rim trail, and then Photographers Point.

That wagon is a sheep camp…sheep rancher’s delux accommodation out on the open range. Modern versions are still mfg & they’re every bit as nice as any RV!

I got sent out to Pinedale 2 summers ago to help on a communications project that one of our dealers was implementing. Absolutely fell in love with the entire county. I've always wanted to move to the Rockies somewhere (from the Midwest) and Pinedale quickly made the top of my list. The job I really wanted wasn't ever going to exist so it was mostly just a dream of "some day". Guess who secured that job and is moving to the area next summer! The locals are indeed very friendly, and I intend on embracing that and changing nothing about their lifestyle.

Congrats Uncle Ben! Pinedale is one of my favorite places to stop when going to Yellowstone or the Green River Lakes area. It is equally unreal the summers and the ferocious winters.

G'day, LTT fam, awesome, aint it grand when you find those hidden gems. The scenery is enough for me, throw in some amenities and decent folks, (but not too many, lol), walking, fish'n and whatever else, stellar, no wonder you stayed awhile, why wouldn't you. Cheers Duke.

It’s not Pole Creek that flows through town, it’s Pine Creek. Pine Creeks source is Fremont Lake, Pole Creeks Source is Little Half Moon Lake.

So when you spoke of vehicle weights are you saying that people are towing larger campers with smaller rated rigs or are you saying that the camper is smaller and that the tow vehicle was way too big. Because yes people do not understand weights and vehicles and how much that impacts things. Like water weighs 7-8 pounds a gallon. So when people talk about having a 100-gallon water tank and hauling that around I am like that is a huge amount of weight. Or they add things like rooftop tents and things to their vehicle but do not upgrade their suspension. Is that what you are talking about?

You must be in an alternate universe. I was in Pindale last year to go hiking. The place is a dump with nothing but a few bars, hotels, and a bunch of natural gas( I think) workers. Twilight zone?

Haha could be, again, library was up to date and modern, the coffee shop and brewery were new and excellent, aquatic center new and fun for the kids. River walk and park had deer, fishing, and moose. Haha 😆
