The Great Smog of 1952 descended upon the city of London like a shroud of darkness, weaving itself into the very fabric of daily life. The fog, thick and suffocating, settled over the city for five days, from December 5 to December 9. This event was triggered by a mix of industrial pollution and high-pressure weather conditions.
