The Track of Super Typhoon Noru (2022)

Super Typhoon Noru was a part of the 2022 Pacific Typhoon Season, and occurred in late September. The storm at first was not thought of much, model guidance was not too keen on the system doing much at all, and even official forecasts did not have the storm intensifying much on approach to the Philippines.
Those in the Philippines would be in for a major surprise come September 25th, when Noru would rapidly intensify, at a rate not seen too often with tropical cyclones, going from a Tropical Storm to a powerful Category 5 Super Typhoon in 12 hours. This was confirmed on the morning of the 25th as Himawari satellite imagery showed a compact Noru, with a tiny, but clear eye. This intensification lead to the issuance of Signal #5 Warnings in Luzon, which has only occurred with a few other storms since the new signal warning system had been implemented.
After the Philippines, Noru weakened as it entered the South China Sea, and on approach to Vietnam, had another amazing intensification phase, becoming a powerful Category 4 typhoon just off the coastline of Vietnam. Amazingly, this peak also featured another pinhole eye structure. Fortunately, Noru weakened drastically before landfall in Vietnam, however, impacts were still significant in both the Philippines and Vietnam as the storm passed through.

Noru, the exploding typhoon, I remember when I was looking at the live satellite images of Noru, and a massive burst of convection exploded. It looked like a volcanic eruption was going on in the typhoon, but it was just explosively intensifying.

I will note one thing as we wait for the 2022 WPAC premiere following this. This animation used preliminary analysis from F13, so there will be some differences between now and in the full season animation as that uses final analysis.

When Noru Rapidly intensifying i remember seing the burst of convection goes crazy like its going having an volcanic eruption, its feels like rai in early stages the storm preventing to intensify bcuz of shear and it developed a ccc pattern and the environment became favourable it takes advantage of it and the warm ssts and high ohc which makes the philippines sea crazy effect.

Unrelated to Noru’s track animation, the names Malakas, Megi, Ma-on, Hinnamnor Noru, and Nalgae have been retired. The replacements will be announced next year. Malakas will be retired because it has an inappropriate meaning in Greek.

As the one who animated this, I'm not letting your misinformation slide. Noru did, in fact, make a C4 landfall, officially, and in our analysis. Furthermore, the animation hasn't even been released yet, so you don't have any evidence for your claim in the first place.
