I'm about 7 minutes into this video and I must say... You're an excellent caster @WirtualTV. I've seen it on your videos before, but felt it was worth commenting on. You use downtime and fill dead air with explanations of track details, strategies, and notes on players. You speak rapidly, but fluidly. You have an extensive knowledge of the players, the tracks, and obviously the game. You call out times so we don't have to always look for ourselves. You call out great moves and major/minor mistakes in real time. You have enthusiasm and passion for the game and the event. You somehow find time to check chat and answer relevant questions. You bring humor when it's appropriate. I could introduce someone who has never seen this game to a video that you're casting and feel confident that they will enjoy themselves and leave with at least a decent understanding of the game and the significance of the event. Great job, dude.

As a casual player I've tried WC maps: * Castlemania: easiest to finish, even with crashes. * Spinoff: Impossible. I've not made a first BW turn. * Secrets: Haven't managed to get a single secret path, speed checks are insane. * Wave control: also on an "easy" (heavy quotes) side, however couldn't get last qpipe jump. * Rollcage: not even close to smooth finish. Best time is 5min. It's like a deep dip discovery run. Somehow be alive after transition jumps and return to course from slow grass and try to make next jump from double respawn. Vastly painful.

59:35 Wirtual: "I can call myself a Div 1.7 player, but we're watching Div 0" | 59:45 "If I played a match against Pusztitopako here, I would lose every round" Another comparison would be like getting the average F1 fan that's been go-karting for a couple months, putting them in an F1 car, and telling them to win a race against Nicholas Latifi or something - you would absolutely get wiped (assuming you could even drive the car without crashing) despite the fact Latifi frequently got outdone by the rest of the field

i mean nba player brian scalabrine was a meme for most of his career for being a benchwarmer on an nba team. fans sarcastically called him the G.O.A.T. and make jokes that teams do not play him because it would be unfair, or gave him the nickname of "White Mamba" (as a reference to kobe bryants nickname "Black Mamba"). it was mostly light-hearted jokes and Scalabrine somewhat embraced it. Of course there were some people who clowned him due to being a bench player and be like "haha, i could beat him in 1v1 easily". in 2013, 1 year after he retired an event was set up where different people could play him 1v1 - with the first person to get 11 basket wins (with 2 ahead). Scalabrine won every game, and the opponents on average could score 1 basket against him.

Funny you touch on players not practicing the tracks before the championship to hide their lines. This has been a thing in fighting games for decades and even has a community term. "Save that shit for nationals" as in if new tech is found by a player, it's most likely only going to become known because the player is using it in tournament.
