Greg, probably one of the best attachments for maintaining your road would be a box blade because it gathers up the dirt and gravel and deposits it in the low spots, it also has a scarifier which has teeth that you can lower which will break up the hard surface and make it easier to grade to a smooth surface.

Hi,should had got a box blade with front diggers, quickly levels out your road as well as spreading stone deliveries. A grapple for moving those logs around, safer than using that bucket with straps. Somethings to consider when your financially able. Love your vids cheers

Greg box blades are good for moving dirt from point A to point B. The rippers are for cutting uneven ground. The box fill up with dirt and they pick up and burp piles of dirt on long pulls. Scrapeblades work better for driveway maintenance because you can angle them and if you swivel them around backwards and use the edge to smooth out your work and set them at a sharp angle and remove snow without digging up your driveway. I'm speaking from experience I had an 1800' driveway I had to maintain. I had a 5' box blade, a 5' scrapeblade, a 6' scrapeblade, and a 6" landscaping rake. It took all of them working year round to keep up with it. The trick is cutting ditches and keeping them clean.
@jrae5085
@jrae5085 Жыл бұрын
Good start. Need two angles: left/right angle for moving dirt away from edges to the center of the road, so you can raise center and tilt angle to create a shallow drainage swale on either side of the road while smoothing the slope from the center. That way you can dome the profile of the road side-to-side so water runs off the surface and along the edges. Pick out run-off spots to drain the edge swale. Downhill side just send the run-off downhill, but uphill sides look for flat areas to create collection basins so water absorbs into the ground over time. Large flow from the uphill side requires a culvert. You don't want water crossing the road. If you don't dome the profile, then the road becomes a stream bed and rutting is a constant problem.

I find it funny that a lot of channel creators, have taken to thanking their patrons and not the people who got them where they are. I'm not sure if it's just a conscience or unconscious way of saying the people who helped you get where you are just don't matter, or maybe it's a way of committing channel suicide. Still I'm noticing it a lot, and I'm wondering if you would care if I didn't like or stay subscribed but still watched your show?

That blade will be super helpful to maintain the road, but a good box blade with front rippers will be even better. I know you have gotten forks from watching future videos, but log tongs will work much easier and they are only $200 and will keep the logs closer to the tractor for more stability.

All of the trees and flowers are soo pretty - thank you for showing them! Greg loves his tractor! Greg, please be very careful when working on the tractor while it’s running . My 78 year brother, who had been around tractors all of his life, he was standing between the two tires on one side, when the tractor jumped out of gear and ran over him. His wife just happened to see it happen or he could have been there for hours - or even died there. Luckily, his injuries were in the pelvic area, which healed but he went through a lot of pain. I DON’T want that to happen - your channel is soo good!

Divots(?) you mean "ruts". From Google:- divot noun plural noun: divots 1. a piece of turf cut out of the ground by a golf club in making a stroke or by a sports player's boot. "he hit a wedge shot and carved a hefty divot out of the fairway" a small hole made by the removal of a divot. "if your ball finds a divot to rest in" 2. SCOTTISH a piece of turf, as formerly used for roofing cottages.

I will tell you again, You have the wrong vehicle for that area you live in. What you need is a small excavator with a blade on the front and a bucket with a thumb. Much better for handling your wood and scraping your drive. That tractor is just not the right tool. It is meant for flatter elevations and farming style implements, mowers and such. There are so many more implements that could be attached to an excavator that would be very useful to you. The back hoe on your tractor is mostly useless because you have to reset it it for every use. It is made for digging small holes or ditches. You need to be able to grab stuff and move it at the same time where you live.
@davethomas8907

Please get your feet and legs out from under that blade or for the same sake your loader pins when making adjustments (Best advice, stand in your bucket when releasing the quick attach on loader). Had you completely removed that nut with the blade in the air like that, BEST case your right foot would have been broken. New equipment is exciting to use, but spend a hot minute familiarizing your self especially if it comes with no safety docs. I have the same tractor and the backhoe getting hung up is annoying too, but a trick I've found is to set it down on a pallet. Once the hydraulics lose pressure, it will be much easier to reattach like you said in the video.

Don’t make the road level, make it 4 degrees out slope, for water run off, so it doesn’t run down the middle. Put in shallow drain dips every 100’ by hand. You’ll get less erosion. A 4 or 5 degree out slope is so little you have to have a trained eye to see it. 10’ wide with a 4” drop on the out slope is enough. Less water will build up when its raining as it runs off.

Those of you who thinks or feels that God doesn't care. That He is indifferent and or mean etc …. Are you wondering why is the world as it is, so much evil everywhere… where is God and His faithfulness… why does so much so bad happen?..... Well God does not miss it, none of it.... Please keep reading and understand things better and let this truth help you.... Evil things happen because there is sin and people sin and there is a way out of it all, evil, sickness, pain, heartbreak, demons, lies and so for.... Read everything here, please just read it and really listen because it is how to get out of so much hardship 💕 God does judge sin which is evil and if people don't stop sinning they will die for that disobedience,that sin. When God said if you take from that tree you will die He was saying if you disobey, you sin, I will punish that sin because God does punish it, sickness, demons and death. And if you keep sinning I will punish you to the point of death, is that punishment. Sickness is a consequence of sin and it is a judgement God makes upon the people for their sin. All sickness takes its toll on the body and will result in death unless you stop sinning and that brings a reward from God for the righteous decision to stop sinning that brought that illness. Throughout scripture God tells us these things. God does love and there is mercy in His punishment too. He chastises those He loves. His wrath doesn't mean He doesn't love, it doesn't mean there is no mercy, it means He puts His law first and He obeys it first. He punished sin and then punishes sin and so forth and if someone doesn't stop sinning or sins more then that judgment is death just as He said, sin is death. Scripture says we are all responsible for working out our salvation with fear and trembling. Seek scripture, learn who He is and what He said to obey and do it. if you obey Him you live in blessings just like Deuteronomy 28 says and it also says disobedience is curses, that's sickness, demons possibly and again to continue in sin results in death. God told all the details, and paid for us to get out of sin and how we should live and when people don't live righteous then the world looks like it did in the days of Noah, violence, drunkenness and such lovers of self, pleasure and all sin and life apart from God, life in disobedience to God. Why should He bless sin? He punishes it then punishes sin more if someone keeps sinning. Is it tough people die from that choice they make, their sin and lack of seeking God to obey what He said, yes it hurts. How do you think God feels, He loved the world so much He gave His only begotten son and Yeshua died in agony for us to be out of that sin, taking God's wrath upon Himself so how do I think He feels, grieved so grieved but I know from scripture He always obeys what His word says, He never changes and that includes every word He said. Now Yeshua took God's wrath upon Himself for our sin Isaiah 53. We get peace with God and can come before Him to be heard and we get to be cleansed from our iniquities, sin. Just like the lamb sacrifices in the old testament Jesus was that for us a peace offering and forgiveness offering. We get freedom from that sinful past, from that sin and we get our healings because His stripes healed us from the consequences of sin. He gave us a way out. A way to start again out of that wrath. How loving is that God gave us His son who took God's wrath for us out of love. How loving just how loving is our God who made a way for us to be out of that wrath? Wrath we deserved by our sin and continued sin. But God so loved the world He gave us Yeshua. Yeshua gave His life to rise to life for us to give us new life. A new creation to begin again a new life, having been born again. Having received forgiveness for sin and a pardon from God's wrath, that very wrath you talk about. But God gave us a way out of His wrath when Yeshua, our lamb paid for our sin. Again how loving is that! Our way out of God's wrath. Our new life. Our second chance to live rightly, that's righteous, before our Holy righteous God. Our being born again to live right because God planned for us to not all receive His wrath for things we did, sin. Yet His son for everyone, one for everyone and a way out, pardoned and free to live life righteous, whole, healed, delivered, how loving oh so very loving that is. All that is in scripture too. Seek and find, learn who He is and obey and see more of it. Read Mark 4:24 the more you obey God the more He reveals to you, it means that. Read Matthew 6:33 live it daily and understand who He is and just how loving He always is and honestly how loved you are will be seen felt and KNOWN too. 💕 Read all scripture and read it often while listening to every word. That's needed to understand. May you come to understand Him all your days seeking and finding in scripture and growing in the knowledge of God, we know Him and His ways from scripture alone. in Yeshua's name 💕 there are many misconceptions and lies in the world about God and people should spend time seeking Him and they will see that and better yet, the truth about Him for themselves 💕 Trust God and learn who He is in scripture and obey it all. Believe Him because you should and trust what He said you truly can because He never fails, every word of scripture is truth. Read scripture often and ponder each word to understand what it says, then Obey it. 💕 Hallelujah Praise God Almighty 🙏💕
