The Traditional Chamber Explained! | Watch me ruin this new KM Pear Hookah | Know Your Hookah

In the third installment of the Hookah Chambers series, Sarkis ruins a new Khalil Mamoon (KM) Hookah in order to show you what Traditional Chamber Shishas are actually like. All Traditional Hookahs follow the same recipe where their Hearts are hollow with straw-like leads attaching the Hose Port or Purge to the bottom of the heart. And they're always incredibly dirty inside, some even being filled with sand to make it feel heavier than they actually are. This is true regardless of material type or brand name. And this is why Sarkis created the term Direct Chamber to separate the objective best Upright Hookah design-type so that no one would ever be fooled again.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that some KM models are actually solid cast. I believe the Mini Shamadan is one such model

@@SarkisAlexander Oh, interesting, thanks for the response! I am new to hookah, and I just ordered my first one yesterday, should be arriving over the weekend. I ended up going with a KM, just because it's my first one and I'm not sure if I want to shell out the money for a really good one yet. Maybe in time. Plus, I like the look of the traditional style

@@gotechi4569 there’s a properly built stainless steel CNC machined pipe for $70 and change over at www.hookahunltd.com I really wish you had inquired before purchasing the KM. Because even the solid traditional hookahs… just turn them around and you see the seam of the plate that’s solder on to the hollow heart from the bottom

Nothing comes close to the burble and restriction of a KM. Enjoy it when smoking AF flavours such as Apple/Mint. For all other premium tobaccos I prefer modern hookah for sure though.

Well, other than this being completely subjective to you alone, I hope you know that the so called “burble of a KM” is accentuated not by a KM but rather the low quality, low density glass of the base paired with said KM. This is due to the vibrations of the glass from the bubbling. Any direct chamber pipe, without the use of a diffuser, and paired with the same base and at the same water level will “burble” louder and more powerfully than any KM, due to the much higher velocity of the Flowrate since, as you saw, the ports aren’t an inconsistent mess. Higher quality, higher density glass bases often paired with direct chamber performance hookahs, mute the “burbling” quite a bit. @@SarkisAlexander any explanation for the bubble at the bottom end of the pipe? Not seen this on any other other pipes. In my opinion I feel like when hookah is too smooth it feels like a vape which I personally dislike. I've never tried a Steamulation but I know I'm not a fan of diffused/continuous delivery of smoke and prefer a more pulsed delivery of smoke.

@@azeemesmail7429 yes, it’s literally just the diffuser, which is removable in almost all cases. I for one smoke exclusively without a diffuser, for example.

@@SarkisAlexander apologies didn't make it clear. I meant the metal bubble at the bottom of the KM stem not water bubbles. Does this make any difference or play a role in the sound or pulsated delivery of KM draw?

@@azeemesmail7429 not really it’s more for aesthetics and to let u know the water level should be above it ... mostly to give a different appearance compared to other Egyptian pipes

but should one pay upwards of $150 to as much as $350 for a faulty hookah that shouldnt need fixing? Especially when there are Direct Chamber options on the market for far more reasonable prices that perform far better, built far better, and made of far higher quality material? That's the question every hookah enthusiast should as brother
