I would have thought "nuclear" as in the nucleus of a cell or atom. Using the term "Nuclear Family" would relate more to the basic nature of it, and not so much as making it a deliberate negative connotation. It was a nice thought, but until you see that if you bottleneck your views into 1 of 2 political parties... you will always lose

Absolutely not. They can exist, sure. But it's not necessary in this day and age. People can have more freedom.
