There's a theory floating around that Lu Guang's age has been left unknown because he can't remember how old he is due to the repeated attempts to go back and save Cheng Xaioshi. 😭

Thanks for sharing. That theory makes sense especially if he did it for like hundreds of times 😭 But I think his age is hidden simply because it's complicated to compute due to his time travels. Either way, the mystery of his age was supposed to be something intriguing, but after the end of season 2, it now makes me sooooo sad 😭

@@SapphirePyro Who really knows? Lu Guang not remembering how old he is might have less to do with the amount of times he went back and more to do with how many years he spent time traveling. I mean, he can only use a photo once, so Lu Guang probably had to go further back in time after every failed attempt to save Cheng Xaioshi. That could also be the reason why Lu Guang so "mature for his age," the poor baby has been time traveling for years! Somebody needs to give this boy a hug! 😭😭😭😭😭

What do you mean by repeated attempts for lu guang to go back and save cheng? As far as I remember he only had the ability to act like a cctv type of viewing perspective with the knowledge of the 12 hours (or 24hrs I forgor) ahead future from the time of the picture. He can just use that knowledge to tell cheng what to do but he could never go back in the past to save cheng by himself what?

I feel like maybe the 3 rules lu guang made about diving in the photos might also be related to his attempts to save cheng xiaoshi in different time lines. Because how would he have made up these rules if not from his past experiences? In the first rule, he states that xiaoshi should not stay in the photo for more than 12 hours or so. Maybe once he stayed more than that, escaped lu guang's eyes and died in the picture. 2nd rule states that cheng xiaoshi dives in and lu guang guides him. Maybe another time lu guang wasn't there to guide him, or xiaoshi didn't listen to him and ended up also dying. 3rd rule states that cheng xiaoshi must not ask about the past as it cannot be changed. Maybe cheng xiaoshi once asked about the past, like he did with emma, but it was already too late and he felt guilty because of it, fell into depression and killed himself (if we follow the 3 timelines seen in the video)

I think it may be related to "saving the world". Technically, Cheng Xiaoshi can create a butterfly effect. In Vortex, it says "where do we end up when we save the world". What if because of the emotions he feels from the people Cheng Xiaoshi possesses, he decides that he wants to change the future. However, because Cheng Xiaoshi kept disrupting the timeline and kept making big modifications, which prompts him to be punished through creating his own death over abusing his power to change the timeline too much. It could also be that Lu Guang was the one who's supposed to die at the moment but Cheng Xiaoshi took the hit.

I think that the entire reason as to why Lu Guang has the three rules that he reminds Cheng Xiaoshi everytime that they dive is because Lu Guang wants there to be no major differences in the timeline, so that he can predict what will happen and how to avoid it each time.

I theorize that whoever killed CXS is a woman based on lyrics of "Until it dies" where it is said "her sins burn like fire, and that's what he desires." I think about every song is from LG's perspective even tho "Until it dies" is like one of those ambiguous ones, is it him or Li Tianchen. Also "Mastermind" is sung by a woman and I didn't find any familiar motives from that which are found from the other songs so it could be from another perspective.

I don't think Liu Xiao have killed anyone (yet, but as his brother was like that maybe it runs in the family). It also could be his song because the song has the same flame and fire motive that Prometheus has so at the same time I would think it was his song. the depression makes sense because in the 2nd opening we see Cheng Xiaoshi under water, usually in anime it's a symbolism of depression. Chen Xiaoshi is very sensitive and empatic, he really relates to Emma's emotions, and he had a mental breakdown after the earthquake. I also have a theory that Xixi had to die for Cheng Xiaoshi to be alive. I wonder if she was alive, would Cheng Xiaoshi have died?

I read a theory that says that like Lu Guang, Liu Xiao is also trying to save someone by securing all the parallel lines of time to ensure that this person lives but that cannot be achieved thanks to Lu Guang's attempts to save Cheng Xiaoshi. I have a theory that goes along with his hair color just being a hair design choice and the reason why Lu Guang is going so far to save Cheng Xaioshi. The color white is seen as bad luck in China because it's often associated with death, much like the number 4. If it's a design choice, then I could see Lu Guang being ostracized in his childhood due to his odd hair color. If that's true, then Cheng Xaioshi might have been his only friend and Lu Guang might be afraid of ending up alone again.

Something that I would like to add because it seems somewhat curious to me is that in chapter 1 of S1, the date is April 16, and from chapter 3 S1 onwards the date is October 6 (if I remember correctly), I mention this because it seems like a very big time jump to me, apart from the fact that chapter 2 S1 is the only chapter where the date is not shown. We know that CXS's death was on September 13, and it is in October where several of the events of S1 and S2 take place, and unlike chapter 1 S1 where LG was not surprised by Emma's death, it is from chapter 3 or 2 (although I think saying 3 is the most accurate because they show the date) S1 where the events that happen are not LG had experienced, and adding to this that the S1 is set in 2021, So, it could be that CXS's death was in 2021, and they skip the months until October because LG had already experienced those, including, of course, the month of September, which would mean that he managed to save CXS from whatever happened occurred in September, or is he just postponing his eminently death. Have you already saved him, or are you still trying? I think your theory that LG, in order to save CXS, decided that it was best that they had never met, is reinforced thanks to the "xetroverthink" MV where in a scene (I'm sure you've noticed) LG and CXS cross paths in a revolving door (one entering and the other leaving) and it seems that they do not recognize each other.😢Honestly, if the series ends that way, it would remind me a lot of the movie "Your Name", but without the hope that they will meet again. I have a theory that CX in the current timeline actually knows about what LG did. For the how many times/chances Lu went back to bring Cheng back, the number 3 is relevant. In Overthink, translated to English it’s said, “Replay, replay. Give me 3 big chances. Time flies, we stay.” As well as, “or one, two, three lines of numbers on white paper.” In the vortex special opening, the amount of Cheng’s under spotlights start out at 3, going up to 7. There’s also 4 Cheng’s as you talk about how there’s the original, the first time Lu went back and saved him, the second time Lu went back to save him, and then the current Cheng. 3 is a reoccurring number and I think it’s significant, but there’s also the question of why there’s 7 Cheng’s? What if Lu had 7 chances, but the reason only 4 Cheng’s were standing and shown alive is because there’s the original Cheng, and Lu was only able to save Cheng 3 times? It would explain why the other Cheng’s were on the ground or sort of blacked out. I think this would also apply to the “time flies, we stay,” lyrics because Lu would’ve gone back and time would’ve flown by for Lu, but not for Cheng in every timeline. Also, if you didn’t know, Lu’s age is unknown so people theorize that he either doesn’t remember his age because of the amount of times he’s gone back to bring Cheng back, or he’s from the future and possibly a time travel agent making his age sort of irrelevant or inapplicable. I almost feel the future theory may be true because the theory is he’s from the future as an agent to watch Cheng and that timeline, he’s not supposed to interact with Cheng. This explains why the scene where Lu and Cheng supposedly meet for the first time playing basketball seems so off. Even before watching season 2, I thought that Lu seemed almost nervous or like he knew something, which could be that Lu recognized Cheng. This could be Lu going back to the beginning to try and change Cheng’s fate, or it could be that he’s not supposed to interact with Cheng but decided to anyway. THEN, Cheng’s death could be inevitable or caused by Lu interfering with the timeline, making him feel guilty for Cheng’s death and continually trying to bring him back over and over.

Very interesting points on why it could have been 3 chances, or LG actually travelled 4 or 7 times~ About LG's age being unknown, I think both are applicable: he time travels so his age is... complicated. And thus, he doesn't really need to take note of (but with his brain, I think he can compute it if asked haha) Yes, there's really something suspicious about the basketball scene. And it makes me very worried... LG must have been nervous/awkward on that scene for some other reason. But that will only be revelaed/confirmed in the future (sigh) Thanks for sharing~

I feel like the earthquake arc could ultimately show how nothing can change. Like he has repeated multiple times not to change the nodes, but nevertheless, everyone supposed to originally die(the girl in the first EP, the businessman, etc). It could be that Lu Guang was deluding himself into thinking that the future could actually be changed into one where he could save Lu Guang. Or, since that contradicts with what the blue haired to be antagonist of season 3 said about it “seeming like that there’s only one fate, but there is actually many”, it could be that Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang is a Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk situation, where the time traveling ability of Cheng Xiaoshi was the one which “founded” the concept of powers, and if there was to be an end to everything, Cheng Xiaoshi had to lose his powers, or pass it on to someone more suited and actually aware. For this part, I feel like the number depiction of 4 could also refer to the 4th wall, AKA the wall between fiction and reality. And after all, Cheng Xiaoshi has shown an eerie amount of self-awareness. Maybe he “regressed” so many times he found out he was in a “fictional” setting? After all, there are a lot of so-called “double-crossing” situations, but not in the betrayal sense, more of the “you thought you were saving me, but I’m actually saving you” sense.

Pretty much the same but not since he wouldn't exist at all. That was the biggest change he made. so i looked through the first 2 lines of the S1 intro song and came up with this-I’d talk more, but it’s already 407 words long😅 In this “regression”, CXS might commit no more life. Before talking about the actual signs in the MVs, it is already known that CXS is an empathetic person. He is able to understand feelings of people who have had certain trauma he had not experienced, as if it were in. His own body, so in theory, he could have a lot of emotional baggage still affecting him to this day. We don’t know how many emotionally heavy cases he has endured, so he might already have a lot of problems going on. There is no telling when he might snap, or give up, provided how many times he had to see people who he “loved” from the emotions of the bodies he’s possessed suffer, so he might end up going crazy at any time because of what he had to go through. As for the introductions, at 0:05, it is seen where LG is looking down a building, maybe looking at CXS falling. it is commonly seen as CXS falling down a building, the blindfold on his face as he falls in that one scene slowly unraveling-perhaps he blamed himself for everyone’s suffering after finding out whatever the “truth” of the world is? After all, in this “regression” for CXS, it has been shown that he doesn’t know about much going on from now on, with all the new ability users and everything else. I doubt he knows about the new antagonists who will be playing in S3, either. And after all, the Blue-haired antagonist seems to be good at emotional manipulation - he managed to manipulate the pink-haired boy into doing a lot of things, from unliving his parents, while still getting the pink-haired boy to remain willing to help him even after so many years. The blue-haired antagonist’s ability could also seeing the future, which is why he could’ve him and the pink-haired boy meeting again, and managed to meet him just before the incident happened with the pink-haired boy’s family, to make the right moves to instigate the event. He could be able to see all times he could say something which would elicit different reactions from people. Thus, he could maybe find a way to get CXS into their arms-maybe they could’ve made CXS do what he did so that they could inherit his ability; it is depicted as a very important one, with the bodyguard ex-policeman antagonist obsessing over it so much.

But yeah, the empathetic CXS might have been carrying more emotional burden that he could endure. I also think LG is blaming himself for everything. I like the idea of LG knowing about the new antagonists, but it also makes sense for him not to know. It seems possible for LX to be a manipulator and someone who can see the future, and his interactions with LTC indeed make it more convincing.

About the white hair theory, i know people say 100.000 photos are too much but cant Lu Guang just take 1 photo of him every timeline and after Cheng Xiaoshi dies cant he just use the photo he took in that timeline to start over? or can you not take items with you from the timeline to the present? If you could, wouldnt he have infinite tries tho? yeah Im doubting myself but i wanna know if you can take items, since in the trade with Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi where Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi change their clothes, there is a tracking device in the suit and when he gets out of that picture wouldnt it be dumb that the device just dissapears? okay im just realising all this could make sense if the white hair theory was true, i guess it simply isnt then... why did i even write this

That's an interesting theory that may make the white hair theory a bit more probable (just reusing the same photo for thousands of times). Photos can only be used once though; at least for Cheng Xiaoshi. So if it's the same for Lu Guang, then that reuse of the same photo might not be possible unless reusing the photo in another timeline is counted differently. But anyway, yeah, as you had mentioned about the tracking device, Cheng Xiaoshi can take items along with him indeed, but it's unclear if he can take photos. 🤔 Hopefully the Bridon Arc will explain to us more of the time travel lore in the Link Click universe....

i think you misunderstood me at the first part, i meant that cant lu guang just take a picture of the place he is in, and then if cheng xiaoshi dies he could use the photo he took to go back that picture and take a new picture that he can use again if cheng xiaoshi dies that time too? since they arent the same pictures and also i dont think there is a limit to how many times you can go back to the past wouldnt that just give him infinite tries? That, is only possible if he can even take photos with him to the present tho so we dont really have a way to know i guess...

according to my theory, if people with extraordinary powers die while in your arms, their powers are transferred to you, as you said. Just as like What had happened to Xixi's power? Also, maybe the reason it's LG's last chance is because a place they sealed to prevent the Main character from dying is no longer useful? and also, there is a possibility that LG could kill the main character, maybe someone with control power like Xixi's brother killed the main character against his will while controlling LG. There are also some parts I don't understand. First of all, what does the scene at the end of the 2nd season represent? Secondly, if LG goes back to the past in the photos, how did he not get kicked out of the photo like the main character when she came under the control of Xixi's brother? The girl who owns the third house (I forget her name, the one with phone rabbit cover) if she saw LG's memories, why didn't she understand that LG came from the future etc.? 4. This Main character enters the photo by clapping his hands and leaves by clapping his hands. Why doesn't it come out of the photo when you clap your hands with the LG main character? 5. If he came from the future, why was the main character afraid when he was shot? Wouldn't he calm down because he knew his past and knew that he would not die? OMG I JUST REALISED I wonder if the LG main character may not have answered his call when he died, because in the ending of season 1, he says "xiangle shier miao de dianhua wo meiyou jie", meaning "I did not answer the 12-second call". and in the seconds after that he says, "I want to go back in time, but I'm trapped in this tide."Then "How many years have passed? Can I still be the same as before?" says. AND RIGHT THEN he says, "I am lost in the history I live in." and he says, "I looked indifferently at my right arm," then he says, "a leaf passed in front of my arm." and he also says "why was my sight stolen from me again?", so this proves that the main character died in the forest, and in my opinion, when LG goes back in time, he pays a price and loses his sight, just like in the "Charlotte" anime. In the subsequent scenes of the ending, there are faded forest scenes in the background.I wonder if the reason why he doesn't have any age is because he can't get out of there anymore when he stays there for more than 12 hours, and when he says he's stuck in this tide, he actually can't skip time anymore and he's stuck in that time?

There is only one thing that I don't totally agree with, and is the fact that "it seem unlikly for Lu Guang to go home to go back in time, so he probably was in the house", I think that it makes sense for Lu Guang to have to go home to get the RIGHT PHOTO to use to go back, in S2 they deleted ALL their photos from their cellphones because of the risk of them being used by the enemy, so maybe he needed the one they had at home, or he needed a SPECIFIC photo that he didn't had with him, so he went home to get that... the rest of your theories really hype me, and I can see how you built them, but for the forrest, I still think it can easily be the place where Xiaoshi died in that specific scene... >^

@@SapphirePyro yeah I remember, the one that is actually Cheng Xiaoshi moving Lu guang's body and posing 😏😆 In S2 the ones that deleted all the photos in their phones were only Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi, so there is a chance that the photo needed wasn't in Qiao Ling's phone... also because Cheng Xiaoshi's power can use every photo only once, and Lu Guang is using that same power, so he probably needed a photo in which he didn't already jumped in 🤔
