People are criticizing him? This twist made me like him so much more! We have literally no idea what he's already been through trying to save Cheng Xiaoshi already or what he's already seen happen from the rules breaking. We just know that he's willing to do whatever it takes to save someone he cares about. I'm so ready to have my heart ripped out and torn to shreds watching him fight fate and I can only hope that it doesn't end in tragedy. I see shades of so many other characters I love (especially Homura Akemi) in Lu Guang and I guess maybe some of them are also controversial, but also they're all deeply human and relatable. This twist really took a serious, by-the-books character and opened up a world of swirling emotions and conflicting morals and it just makes me want to root for him so much more!

I really like to think that Lu Guang used to be more expressive and might have had an attitude more similar to Cheng Xiaoshi at the start (of their story, not of the show), but that he began to change as a result of the repeated attempts to save his best friend. Many bad things don't faze him simply because he's already familiar with them since he's been going back in time...

I hate all the criticism Lu Guang has gotten. Yes, he's a hypocrite, but that is what makes him human! Lu Guang isn't perfect, he's flawed just like the rest of us. That is why I love him, I think the people who get angry and criticize want perfect protagonists but perfect to me is boring and unrealistic. It's unrelatable. Besides, I'd challenge those same people to put themselves in Lu Guang's shoes and ask themselves if they would really do any differently? If your best friend died in front of you and you had the power to go back in time and save them, wouldn't you? Especially Lu Guang who seems to be fairly isolated, it seems like CXS and QL are his only friends. We don't hear about his family, which leads me to believe he has none or he isn't close to them. In that situation, where you are dependent on two individuals for your entire social interaction and the fulfillment of your social needs, yeah you'd be willing to bend the rules too. But I think that is why people don't like Lu Guang, because it's an uncomfortable reality that we would all rather run away from. The fact that we are flawed, we are selfish, we are human beings. I think the same can be said of other controversial anime protagonists like Shinji from Evangelion and Subaru from Re:Zero. They both represent aspects of ourselves that we would rather not acknowledge, that we would rather ignore. If anybody gets mad or tries to argue otherwise, you will just be proving my point. The ones he doesn't care are people in the past the ones he cares about are in the present, he can't save the ones who had already suffered but can help those who are suffering at the moment. I hate him, I love him. He is my second favourite since he has earned my respect. He does horrible deeds but he stays determined. He keeps repeating the past for a mere chance he could save Cheng Xiaoshi. It's wrong to do so, since would it really be morally correct to change literally one person for many, probably millions of others? I do understand him but I can't completely accept it.

I'm one of the people that felt betrayed by the revelation of S2 😆 But more than hating Lu Guang I'm angry at him, because he made me feel guilty toward Cheng Xiaoshi... I went throught S1 constantly feeling sorry for Lu Guang for how much Cheng Xiaoshi was acting "childish" and not understanding that it was for the best and a greater good to not change the past, even if it hurts, and I was also so proud of him when Cheng Xiaoshi choose to NOT go back in time to save Lu Guang(when Cheng Xiaoshi tought that Lu Guang was dead). So when I actually discovered that Lu Guang did indeed change the past... even mutitple times probably, I felt extreamely guilty for being so angry toward Cheng Xiaoshi everytime he would try to change something giving Lu Guang an heart attack 🤣 That said... karma, destiny and fate are very hard to defeat, so even if I hope that they can have an happy ending, I still see a very dark future in sight... 🥲

This video is GREAT!!! I can understand Lu Guang's feelings and I think I would do the same if I were him, even though I know I need to move on and it's not good. I can understand why Lu Guang lies and hides almost everything. But I still think it's too selfish😂 But on the other hand, who knows, maybe Lu Guang wants Cheng Xiaoshi to be alive not for his own satisfaction but because he has a feeling that his best friend is too good to die so early because Cheng Xiaoshi deserves it more than anyone else, even Lu Guang himself.

NUMBER ONE LU GUANG DEFENDER OVER HERE YALL BETTER NOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THIS MAN 😤. The twist I thought added a lot of much-needed depth and relatability to his character actually. Beforehand, he was kind of portrayed as being obsessed with the timeline, being cold and unfeeling to other characters because his #1 goal was to keep it intact. But you can put a lot of his past actions into a better context following the s2 finale by showing how many of his actions were directly related to the “responsibility” he has of keeping CXS alive. My theory is that he was in some way responsible for/feels guilty about CXS’s original death (my guess is that CXS was the first to sacrifice himself and so LG is trying to revert that and “fix” the timeline). But yeah a lot of the selfish decisions that he made actually can be understood as him desperately trying to protect CXS.

2:19 ive had a theory for a long time (though, unable to find any evidence to actually prove it) that death is inescapable even if you go back in time. Yes, you might save the person you want but that death is given to another person because, well, death is a node that cant be changed. It hasnt technically been changed, it still happens, just to another person. That's why we've had the unexpected deaths of Chen Bin, Tianxi, Emma and Liu Min (while you could argue that Tianchen killed the last 2, it still means death got them). Therefore, Lu Guang didnt want Cheng Xiaoshi to save anyone because theres a chance he (Cheng) could be killed in place. There are holes in this theory which could be why ive seen nobody say anything similar and also practically no evidence, so feel free to refute.

Hey Sapphire! So I was waiting for the new video still to tell you a few things I found out after analyzing the Link Click songs, but now I'm too impatient so I'll just say it here. I'm not sure whether you've talked about the songs and their foreshadowing already in one of your videos, but if you haven't still, then here's my take: So in the song "Flash", considering this is from Lu Guang's perspective, there are two lines that say: "Become the person" "The person I wished for that day" NOW I hope this is really really wrong. But by this, it doesn't mean that Lu Guang is going to sacrifice himself for his bestfriend right..? If that day refers to 9/13, aka Cheng Xiaoshi's death day, the "person" being Cheng Xiaoshi, and if to become him means that he'll die in place of Cheng Xiaoshi then... I'm gonna die OKAY ANYWAYS CONTINUING: So I got another one! I believe most of the songs are connected. From Vortex to Mastermind to Flash, etc In Vortex, it says "Knowing it all, am I destined to fall? Like once you did for me" Does this mean that Cheng Xiaoshi's death was cause of Lu Guang himself? Perhaps someone was trying to kill Lu Guang in the first and original timeline, but Cheng Xiaoshi sacrificed himself instead, and because of it. He feels guilty, he has regrets. Following that, in Flash it says "Notice the regret engraved so hard". Perhaps the regret is letting Cheng Xiaoshi die that day? Then it's mentioned the THIRD time again. "Take back all my regrets, camouflage it like your silhouette." Perhaps he's trying to stop thinking about those regrets? cause in OverThink it's "Stop thinking about it, stop stop thinking about it why your mind overclouded?" Overclouded with regrets, his bestfriends death, everything so he's trying to focus on his sole mission of saving Cheng Xiaoshi and stop thinking about the past. In Flash again. "I have the power, it was undercover" This obviously refers as to how Cheng Xiaoshi died in Lu Guang's arms. I think the flashbacks we see of Cheng Xiaoshi's death in the donghua is his first death, before Lu Guang started resetting the timelines for his bestfriend. Considering Qiao Ling also got Li Tianxi's ability passed onto her since Xixi died in her arms, if CXS died in Lu Guang's arms then it's obvious he got the power from his bestfriend. It's undercover cause he hasn't revealed it duh Anyways, Vortex starts by saying "Onto my life when I've sunken so low, over the edge of the vortex we took every breathe to follow?" and since we saw CXS and LG drowning in the Yingdu Chapter trailer, it probably refers to that idk i think this one doesnt make sense i worded it wrong please ignore this HELP ME OKAY SO Then OMG I JUST GOT A NOTIF OF YOU UPLOADING AN ALNST VIDEO IM CRYING OK WELL WHAT A COINCIDENCE okay i have to continue writing HELP ME So in VORTEX, it's said "Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?" Lu Guang by this probably means that even after solving their customer or clients regrets from the past, they still end up miserable. Even after saving the world, they end up unhappy. With one of them dead. The other lines being "Truth in the shadows so brightened in gold. Place our fates into the ones aren't in control" The second line is worded a bit strangely, English isn't my first language either so yeah but I think the one that's controlling their FATE is Liu Xiao. Now, why? I'll explain this a bit later "Freeze, just for a sec or two. Breathe again in the world anew." Lu Guang dives back in time, freezes for a second when his bestfriend dies AGAIN in front of him. Sighing, he resets the timeline once more breathing again in that "new world" "I guess there was never such a thing. Like everything's meant to be, but I'mma win this silly game, until then I will never leave!" There was never such a situation in the first place where you could stop someone from dying and change their fate. It's meant to be, after all. But he'll win this GAME. and won't give up. Now look closely, he refers to this as a game!!! And if there's a chance that Lu Guang knows about Liu Xiao/Vein/Xia Fei, then these two songs VORTEX and Mastermind are connected.

Also the "Camouflage it like your silhouette" probably means something. Silhouette and Shadow are similar slightly right? In Flash he says "Your shadow that only I got, that only I got." I'm not sure what it could refer to, maybe it's just something obvious or I'm just too dumb let me know what this could mean LMAO "Back to me, I know that you can track it back to me. No matter who, and what, and when INTERTWINED dive back in time. The truth will remember our legacy." There's someone clearly intertwining to the point Cheng Xiaoshi keeps dying, and that's LIU XIAO GAHHHH LIU XIAO WHEN I CATCH U I We know from the last episode of season 1, and that one episode from season 2 where Cheng Xiaoshi dived back in time. One to save Emma, but Li Tianchen used his ability to control her, and he immediately got kicked out of the photo. It happened again in Season two, where he got kicked out of the photo again when Li Tianchen used his ability to control his mother and kill Li Fan. Meaning it's impossible, It's too much pressure and Fate can't handle it if two people use different abilities like that. LG and CXS' abilities are related to the past both, so that's why Fate can handle it. But when it's present and past, or future and past, it can't work together. "Oh wasn't it hard to follow? I'd do it again tomorrow. It drags me down and drags me down. Maybe we'll never leave" If CXS dies today, LG will try to save him again tomorrow. the last line maybe refers to LG slowly losing hope, saying that what if they're stuck in this endless loop forever? Now by down and down? What does that mean? It could be something obvious like it dragging him down emotionally and affecting his mental status BUT. Now listen. We know that you get punished for breaking or messing with the timelines. Maybe that's why Vein punished Lu Guang right in the trailer? So maybe there's some sort of list or leaderboard or a ranking, and Lu Guang gets dragged down and down each time he resets the timeline for his own greed. There are many in the Link Click world who own abilities all related to time itself. But. Who exactly is giving these people their powers? Is there a higher being we don't know of yet? Is there some sort of manager, or agent who makes sure no one misuses their ability? and hires people like the house of the hot headed members to keep the delinquents in check? "Wanting it all, and the whole world will crumble and fall, whoa" He mentioned to CXS while diving back in time (To the photo that LTC gave them) to pick the photo, otherwise there's a chance their timeline won't exist. (And I think he even mentioned that there's a chance, they themselves, won't exist either at all). If just a picture is that important, imagine how much destruction it would cause or Lu Guang has ALREADY caused in the timelines just to save his bestfriend. "I've held promises unbroken. Even when the night has fallen, shattered mirrors our reflection. Should you keep the light on reason?" Maybe they made some sort of promise in the past as students? Like "Oh we'll do this when we grow up! We'll have this and one day get that blah blah" So in order to have those precious moments or promises they made of the future, Lu Guang doesn't let Cheng Xiaoshi die. That way, their promises remain intact

Okay so the shattered mirror part, I think this line is very important but I don't know what it means. This is because a mirror has been shown 3 times in total. One, this lyrics. 2nd, the cover of Flash, VORTEX, XETROverthink, Mastermind all have that one official art on Spotify. Between LG and CXS is a shattered mirror. And 3rd, after he says "Dive into the vortex!" in XETROverthink, we can hear a mirror shattering Now!! Moving into Mastermind, our emo yet handsome guy Liu Xiao. "Time is a hypocritical construct, righteously it wipes out all of us. But I keep rising back from the dust, again and again, again and again." Now if this is from Liu Xiao's pov, the third line doesn't make sense. Rising back? As in.. if he's dead he comes back alive each time? Yeah it doesn't make sense I don't know. NOW!!! "You're tied on my strings like a puppet. Before you even notice" Okay so this would be easier if we could submit pictures but, there's this one official art of Liu Xiao, Qiao Ling, Xixi, LTC, Qian Jin and CXS/LG. Liu Xiao is sitting on a chair, and holding a puppet who is actually doing the EXACT same pose as Li Tianchen! This could refer to him using LTC as just a puppet and tool. "Listening all your desperation sounding like a song" Looking at Lu Guang's desperation to save his bestfriend. Now, I told you that they might know each other. Here's why. He said "I'mma win this silly GAME" referring to it as a game. Now, Liu Xiao in mastermind also says: "Destiny is just my GAME but is all you counting on right now" "Joining the game. Killing spree, I'm enjoying the game!" Destiny is just Liu Xiao's game, but for Lu Guang, it's everything. His bestfriend's life depends on it. He joins the game, kills Cheng Xiaoshi over and over, enjoying it so LG is forced to reset the timelines AGAIN and AGAIN. Now "Take my hand, let's set this world on fire" In Season 2 last episode, LX reaches out his hand for LTC to take, this could be referring to just that scene. BUT. The fire part.. Now I think it's important, just like the silhouette and mirror. First, in the siblings fox story or whatever, their house was burning. Now, what is their organization called? "House of the HOT headed." Flame or fire is mentioned a lot throughout Link Click. Their MV itself is called 'Burning Palace' "Let my flame be your redemption, take my hand let's set this world on fire!" Flame again. In Flash, LG says "Flame out, flame out, I don't care about it anymore" ... IS HE PUTTING OUT THE FIRE THAT LIU XIAO IS SETTING UP. IT'S ALL ABOUT FIRE. "In every timeline, my projected ending shows. No one can change it or stop me" He's projected the ending for it to have Cheng Xiaoshi die each time, LG can't change it. Remember when I said two different abilities can't take place at the same time? "You're down on your knees cause you can feel the pressure when I'm taking over" When LG dives back in time again, he uses his ability, Lu Guang tries hard not to exit the photo so he's down on his knees from all the pressure of LX's ability intertwining with fate and his own ability. "Everything familiar collapses. The unknown player on the gameboard." The past and future is existing at the same time, causing destruction and everything to collapse. Unknown as in, no one knows him or where he is. (Maybe except LG?) "The mastermind stays in the dark" He's playing this game anonymously. Anyways, that's it!!! I got this theory from a genshin related one I once made, but since people have many regrets of the past, the ability to dive back into time is powerful. Just like that, people are scared of their future, what will happen, what they will become, etc, powering Liu Xiao's ability? So the source of their power also comes from humans idk if it makes sense but it's interesting LMAO. Honestly I really really want to do something about the mirror and fire connection but there's not enough stuff on it so far, maybe it's time to rewatch the donghua for the 2nd time LMAO
