The tragic death of Jasmin Duddy

A heartbroken mum is taking her fight for tougher prison sentences for drug dealers to the government.
Pauline Duddy’s 21-year-old daughter Jasmine died from a suspected drug overdose despite getting clean time and again.
Since her death, her mum has dedicated her life to campaigning for more jail time for the dealers who she says “are murdering our young people”.
The Derry woman speaks to me and journalist Ciaran O’Neill about the life and death of her beloved daughter who slipped away to addiction before her eyes.

Spot on Georgia, lived in Dublin for 20 years. Moved back home when the kids came alone. Easier to get anything down home than Dublin & it's rife. Opiates are so under reported. Everyone still fixated on weed and coke, Heroin but opiates are affecting so many people that have prob never even smoked a joint. prescribed opiates need to be reduced. More prescriptions so you don't have much to take. They're lethal. That woman was so honest and my heart goes out to her. Very strong lady 😢❤

It's rife Georgina, sames moved back home after 20 yrs in Dublin when the kids came along. Whatever about weed, coke heroin, opiates are affecting so many families that wouldn't have a clue about recreational drugs. Doctors prescribing too much. People will take whatever takes the pain away regardless of class or social standing She's a very strong lady and I wish her nothing but love and understanding ❤😢
