A new genre of celebrity gangsters has emerged in recent years as criminals and killers take to the airwaves to tell their own stories often becoming Instagram and TikTok sensations.
From mafia podcasters to organised crime KZbin channels it seems that gangland is finally telling its own story in its very own way.
Nicola speaks to Eamon Dillon about the changing media landscape, meaning the underworld is moving overground.

Nicola subtlety hinting to the Monk that she wants to get him on for an unedited podcast.

At least Darren gee has turned his life around and has had no involvement in crime in any way I think credit were it's due he's being slaughtered for going straight but he seems the only one who has changed his life we can't say why don't you change your ways and when they do start dragging there last up when they change cause there's no dirt on them Darren seems to have honestly changed his ways

Seems fair, former crime journalists are doing the same.

Are you serious. I was mugged by some piece of garbage and it cost a fortune in medical bills and dental bills. I’ve never been arrested for anything and never hurt anyone. What gives you the right to hurt another person that you don’t even know????

I can agree with most of what ure saying . However Darren Gee does admit to why he was sent down and he also apologised to the guys family. Not saying it makes him a saint but he does constantly bang on about how wrong he was .The guy had a very difficult child hood and had spent a good deal of his formative years in car .But now he really is trying to right a lot of his wrongs and has developed into a very articulate speaker .

Yeh you can still see his old self but his message is right. Obviously such a damaged person from a terrible childhood, just shows what trauma causes, let’s hope he really has turned his life around because most don’t

Celebrity, that'll be the rock they perish on. You have to remember what happened to the head of the Gambino family John Angelo Gotti (the original Mr. Flashy) He played with his image through the media. If you compare him to the longevity of James Joseph "Whitey" Bulger Jr. who was an American organized crime boss who led the Winter Hill Gang, an Irish Mob group in the Winter Hill neighborhood of Somerville, Massachusetts, northwest of Boston. He managed to evade the law into his 80's and was beaten to death in his late 80's in prison. his motto was "avoid the lime light".

Massive difference between them was Whitey was working with the fbi to take out the Italians and they gave him a pass to take over.

La Cosa Nostra has gone from Omerta to having their own KZbin channels. The Five Families in the future will just be five KZbin channels, where you can follow their latest content.

19:56 Nobody finds God, God found him. When you're in a position of not being self-centred and focused on what is just physical You become contrite and you look how short time is on earth. Then you start asking. You realise how you are in a desperate need for the truth .
