Always loved Johnny Horton. My parents played all his records, and he was always on the radio back in the day. Very surprised to know he had the gift of sight.

I was, and remain, an ardent fan. It was hearing North to Alaska on a juke box in Dufftown, Scotland that initially grabbed my attention back in 1960. I've been to Austin, Texas twice but didn't learn until recently that's where we lost the great Johnny Horton. RIP, Sir.

I use to love riding with my dad in his old kenworth cabover. The first time I heard Springtime in Alaska it stuck with me, as a 8-9 year old I would sing that song every time I climbed in my dad’s truck. The first time I heard Johnny Reb I kept asking my dad to rewind the tape so I could listen to it again please. I’ve been a Johnny Horton fan for 40 years thanks to my dad. Kind of like Mr Keith Whitley, when we lost Johnny we lost someone that had so much more to give us and a talent that few ever possess or see.

If anyone is interested, I spent 8 years researching Horton's life and released a book available on Amazon called "Finding Johnny Horton." There are numerous errors in this video and the truth about these events are outlined in the book using direct quotes from his friends and family. Because there has never been much known about Horton, videos like these rely on what little information is available online, and much of that is false. Johnny had an incredibly interesting life and deserves to be remembered for what really happened, not what is told in these AI generated videos.

Horton even helped Cash get off of drugs. You had already stated that Horton had drug issues and then at the end you say he did not. Which is it?

Johnny Horton never had anything to do with drugs or drink. Now you straighten this lie up. You know nothing of this man. He abhorred drugs and drink. He never had this in his work or his band. If his family got ahold of this, they could make you prove this in a court of law. You could be sued.

We are talking about Billie Jean who was a widow of Hank Williams Sr. Audrey was William's first wife and Johnny Horton wasn't married to Audrey.
