Clint used to come into the Sears store in N, Hollywood where I worked. He had a friend in the shoe dept. He was 6foot 6 with 3 inch cowboy boots and a ten gallon hat. Looked to be 7 ft tall. He wasn't just tall he was wide too. I was right behind him once when he was taking a tire to the outside automotive dept. The tire looked like a toy in his arms. Quite a few stars came into that Sears store as the studios were close by. This was 1957.

He made a hit with me the first time I saw him not just his looks he projected a man with integrity, a missing trait in a lot of people. I just knew he was a friend of God's.

WOWWW!! Should’ve waited to comment earlier, i hadn’t even heard the best part! Guess i ❤️ inspirational stories mostly bc i _WANT_ to believe them, i mean, obviously there’s no “proof”. i sincerely DO believe in God but lately after my husband passed from F’ing cancer after 30 years, well, my faith has been kind of faltering i’m ashamed to admit. Anyhoo, now after hearing ab Clint’s incredible near death ☠️ experience, i feel truly inspired. OF COURSE i know God exists, i’m just experiencing the worst time of my entire life right now. Everyone has to go through this, it’s just my turn. Prolly/maybe i sound confused & disillusioned bc of my current situation but as of right now, this simple 7:32 minute clip has really changed my outlook. i dunno, perhaps i DO want to live? lol hey don’t laugh! You may have saved a life today! Again, TYTYTY! 😘
