Disgusting by all accounts. Children had done nothing yet paid the ultimate sacrifice. Here I am not just talking about Louis 17th but also tzar Nicolas 2nd 5 children. It was cruel and unnecessary. These children did not harm anyone yet were subjected to inhuman treatment and ultimately death. Humans looking for power lose humility and become power and money obsessed creatures. Unfortunately this is true today. Our government is out of its mind with executive orders and mandates.
@thebiologic61392 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind the fact that Marie and Louis starved thousands of people, and caused thousands of deaths from starvation whist spoiling themselves. The people who sentenced them to execution were angry as a result of the suffering they faced. And considering how many atrocities have been committed by people over the centuries (genocide, slavery, torture, etc) it is very evident that people can live with themselves whilst hurting others.

Interesting, I know so many people who are still very young at 72, it seems like more people are reaching 80 and beyond. 72 was the average 30 years ago but maybe it varies in different parts of the world and cultures. I'm South African and live in this small coastal town where people come on vacation or to retire mostly. The old timers here are kicking it strong, many are looking really healthy and young for their age. It was too keep wealth and power from being spread out and lost. Marrying outside the bloodline worked well during the middle ages too centralize power and create the nation states we know today through aquisition of new lands through marriages... "You happy Austria will marry". But after the middle ages marrying inside the bloodline was needed too keep that centralized power and the territories in question. Ofcourse that leads too alot of new problems, including the birth of people like Carlos the second of Spain who was called "The monster" beacuse of how many defects he had. His death led too the war of the Spanish succession and the loss of Spain and her colonies too the Bourbon Dynasty from the Habsburg Dynasty. It was a dangerous balancing act, something the Habsburgs managed relatively well in Austria unlike Spain.

Thank you for a very interesting and informative video! I truly feel for her and her little brother who must’ve suffered greatly at the hand of the revolutionaries. I do not believe it’s very revolutionary to mistreat or abuse children. It’s absolutely cowardly and a complete abomination!! I cannot have pity on or give compassion to anyone who would hurt and / or mistreat a child / children. I’m certain that the peasants suffered greatly, but that gave them no right whatsoever to abuse children, aristocratic or not. I hope they repented. As far as I’m concerned, if they didn’t repent, I hope they’ve had to answer for their abuse of those innocent children!!
