You really should do a follow up about his house keeper Ann Devlin if you get a chance, there was a movie made about her of the same name. She ended up in kilmainham Gaol herself. The tour guides there say she was the Bravest prisoner to ever pass through it. The spot where Robert was hanged in front of the church on Thomas street Dublin is marked with a simple plaque and is only a couple of hundred yards from the Guinness brewery. "Let not my epitaph be written until Ireland takes it place amongst the nation's of the world" Robert Emmet.

It has been long forgotten what bullies England was! No one was safe from them coming and trampling them underfoot, taking over and TAXING THEM so that the "royalty" could live in even further luxury! Their greed knew NO bounds! I am Irish American. My family name of O'Donnell goes all the way back to Irish royals of the 1200's. It STILL makes me angry seeing the British royal family being hailed for doing nothing more than living on the taxes of working people and living in luxury! "Service to their country"??? What service?!

To be fair, not that many people in Britain care for the monarchy, but they’re a good financial investment due to the fact that other people around the world come to see them. For every tax payer pound spent on them the economy gains four pounds. As long as this is the case the monarchy will remain.

I've come t9 surmise, we as a People obviously have situations to be experienced in our Collective, families, and individually - connected to the History through present, i.e., our journey includes our history - to a point. I have had true opportunities - education, college, professional experiences and successes, that "Those G-Grandparents, Grandparents, and Parent's, *efforts made possible."* Thus, I'm not overlooking what was created through the generations. I just need to: place my bare feet on the soil of County Kerry, have the wind in hair and the mist on my face - and stand there looking at that ocean, knowing I'm there and the rest of the world it as it should be, and in harmony. I will not apply thought towards the past (I am a true student of Quantum Physics and "The Universal Laws", particularily, "The Law of Attraction" (It is absolute. When one realizes this astounding point/fact, it boggles the mind. There are very few things in life Absolute. It is most important to master our Ego Mind and manage that through our Higher Mind, to understand how the "Global Aspect is running and Who the Managers/Corporations are that are the actual "decisionmakers without elected government time-limits". Well, there ya go my Irish counterpart - "The Irish Dream in 2020 - awe, we're a true dreamer - but some of us got the fortitude, determination, and abilities, to JUST DO IT!" I think one aspect of this and the whole United Irishmen story is that these men were freemasons inspired by the freemasonic rebellions in France and the United States. There were freemason rebellions across Europe at this time. Both the rebellions in France and the US were led and managed by freemasons and were definitely not the working class movements or disenfranchised working people. These were powerful individuals and groups and the inspiration and the reason for which they adhered to lost in the fervour of patriotism. America has largely been ruled by the same people as the rulers over the rest of Europe. These are all unique related bloodlines so what the aim was is unclear. The setting up of the United States was a freemason venture and nearly all the signatories to the Declaration of Independence were slave owning freemasons. The US was certainly not set up to bring about the scenario where Joe Public can take over. It was and is a corporate entity and have been run as such ever since with direct links into the City of London - another freemason stronghold. What happened in Ireland is never clear but the parties were both rich groups and the likes of the poor never had a chance. They were merely tools for the rich to exploit. No change there.

Freemasons (heavily) involved in those revolutions? Yes. Freemason revolutions? A very substantial over simplification of things.
@Seansaighdeoir8 ай бұрын
@@MrBagpipes The United Irishmen were Freemasons to a man. Whatever the Catholic disaffection may have been which they were happy to tap into it was a Freemasonic venture the same as the French which was totally Freemason inspired through the lodges. The UI also were heavily dependent on the French for success although failure to deliver more than the 1000 troops landed in Mayo meant they were doomed to failure. As you don't offer anything more substantial in terms of analysis beyond your final remark there's nothing more to say. Only that the same thing happened 50 years later in '48. This was the Young movement which was organised across Europe by Giuseppe Mazzini Europe's leading Freemason.

@@Seansaighdeoir you're indulging in hyperbole again. And your knowledge of the French Revolution is obviously poor if you can kid on it was entirely inspired through lodges. It wasn't. They played a role as did other agencies. You'd understand these differences if you actually understood what you're trying to talk about. A little knowledge is always a dangerous thing. Saying you've nothing more to says more about you than anyone else.
@Seansaighdeoir8 ай бұрын
@@MrBagpipes It was an illuminist project run through the lodges (mainly Paris) so in that respect it was Freemasonic. You have no idea what I understand or don't because you are too busy sniping about what it is you think I'm saying rather than just actually inquiring. The rest is just projection. I put forward a vague analysis as that is the best that can be done on such a forum. You have just indulged in ad hom because in reality you cannot avoid the fact of freemasonic inspired revolutions although illuminist in essence, of the 18th century revolutions or the occult nature of Young Ireland and the IRB and the links to all of the above. I think we are done here.
@MrBagpipes8 ай бұрын
@@Seansaighdeoir what I think you're saying? You're saying silly stuff. Nonsense about 1789 and 1798 being entirely Masonic enterprises. You're on here waffling about how every single United Irishman was a Mason. It's cringey. The leadership of the United Irishmen had a substantial number of Masons. It wasn't all. It's more ordinary membership was not remotely close to being entirely Masonic. Freemasonry was definitely a much underestimated vehicle for like minded French Enlightenment thinkers to come together then later communicate/conspire. But it wasn't all Masons and it wasn't close to all Revolutionaries. It was a small percentage of both. Continental Freemasonry may have been influenced by the Enlightenment and The Reformation but by definition Freemasonry is a very broad chruch and you'll have some fun trying to persuade anyone that it has any clear political goals let alone revolutionary ones. You're just full of exaggeration, sweeping statements and only being able to see a small part of the picture. This is twice now you've said you've nothing else to say. Try to stick to it this time. 👍
