There's a charming movie "Impromptu" (1991) that showed the beginning of their affair. I suspect that much of it was made up but it was enjoyable. Judy Davis played George Sand and Hugh Grant played Chopin.

Why tragic ? Just because they separated ? I don’t agree. It has been a wonderful love relationship, even if they separated

You don't know much about George Sand and Chopin. I suggest you read a little about the ten years they spent together. Ron Walker is telling you what happened between Sand and Chopin and time proved Sand to be totally rigth about Clesinger (Sand's daugther and her husband). If you don't know a subject, don't try to tell a story.

The music here (instrument-electric keyboard) is atrocious.

NO NO, SAND AND CHOPIN HAD A FIGHT OVER SAND´S DAUGHTER WANTING TO MARRY SOME GUY. WHEN CHOPIN TOOK THE SIDE OF THE DAUGHTER. SAND THREW CHOPIN OUT OF THE HOUSE. ETC. IT WAS STUPIDITY ON ALL SIDES.

Chopin should have stayed out of it. It was between the mother and daughter.

Difficult in the 19th century for a woman to fit in a litterary circle, mainly male, so she wore trousers and took a man pseudo.
