Pardon me, Dire Trip! May you please do a video on movie director David Crowley? They say he killed his whole family and then himself, but they found him without hands!? They suspect it was a cover up. He and his family were found on Christmas I believe, or around then. His family tried dropping off Christmas presents. Writings on the wall, and the dog was found outside with the door open. He was making a movie/documentary about the government's corruption. Please! There's hardly any covering on this. ~ Thank you!

Something that is hardly ever talked about is how many foster families neglect and abuse their foster kids. It happens all the time. These people need to be religiously vetted, damn near stalked before cleared, because the consequence of not might be a child getting raped for 10 years. Think about it. Their like "We want a kid." and we're like "Whatever, here ya go."...Thats royally screwed up.

I'm in the UK. There's a famous case here, the case of Baby P. In this case the social left him with his mother. A woman with a boyfriend and a male lodger living in the home. She had the social completely snowed. All three adults were violently abusing this poor little boy, and his egg donor used to smear chocolate on his face to hide the bruises whenever the social came calling. Little P died of horrific injuries, he was 3. Like Marcus. I'm 57. I can remember reports on the news back in the 70s some heinous slime had killed a child under their care, the outrage, the "lessons will be learned". When? It is clear that they never are. That children are continually put in danger, not only by unfit parents, but by the system that fails at every turn. When are we going to do right?

I live in Butler Co. and I remember this too well. The last time the caseworker was there and was turned away, he was dead upstairs. I watched this unfold and it was sickening. Little Marcus was autistic, had ADHD and they believed fetal alcohol syndrome. His mother had mental health issues and I believe some type of other disability. She was overwhelmed and grossly under supported. The worst thing CPS did, besides letting her child die, was to attempt to put HER on display as a failure rather than admitting they had killed another kid. It was summer time when they left that baby ALONE IN A DARK CLOSET. He died very slowly and painfully. Alone, in the dark, beaten, betrayed, forgotten. IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. All 3 of them are monsters and deserved the death penalty. Butler Co CPS should have been dismantled YEARS ago. They've done nothing to restore any faith in them. I would NEVER let them near my family.

Same with Fulton County and Lucas County CPS! Bunch of sickos in Ohio who know just how to slip things under the rug. I could choose better foster families than many of the people hungry for the large stipend from the multiple kids. The worst thing is when the foster family and their bio kids get in on the abuse. Withholding food, eating food or buying treats ONLY for the bio brats, hitting, smacking, the toddler fell down the stairs let's blame it on one of the other foster kids, S.A Some of the people hide behind some sweet, pious front but Secretly they're wolves in sheep's clothing being allowed to abuse kids who are most in need snd who many times are reunited with their bio family needing therapy and medication from the PTSD, depression, anxiety & panic disorders, eating disorders. Many times these parents don't even recognize the children or carry that guilt with them because they couldn't care for their children at the time so they had to entrust this fkd up system that really is failing these kids and sometimes entire families are destroyed when removal could've been avoided.

@@brittanyfrost7472 if his birth mother had gotten the support she needed, that little boy might still be alive. She had a lot of issues but it was more about neglect than abuse. I believe Marcus had special needs that had never been addressed, not by his Mom or CPS. Those folks should have NEVER been allowed to foster. NEVER. Butler County CPS, sadly like too many other similar agencies, has had a reputation of gross neglect. It's really scary when you consider that it's still a largely rural county. Imagine what CPS in Cincinnati deals with and I don't think they've killed as many kids as Butler County has. It's the CPS worker not bothering to put eyes on him. She was at the house and didn't bother demanding to lay eyes on him.

This hits so close to home and it breaks my heart 💔💔 My baby boy is severely autistic and epileptic. He’s 100% dependent on me. He cannot do anything for himself. He’s 19. He’s not potty trained, he can’t bathe, feed, dress or undress himself. He’s also completely non verbal. I could no longer care for him by myself so he went to a foster family. They are older, in their early 60’s. They’ve had him since 2017. They are Christians. They have done so much for my baby. He has come such a long way. They love him so much. He used to have really bad temper tantrums. He used to stay up for days at a time. He also used to have seizures all day everyday. His seizures have decreased significantly, he doesn’t have any tantrums anymore and he sleeps every night now. I also get him every wknd. I have heard of so many stories like this, of not only foster parents abusing or murdering kids, but also biological parents doing these things as well. I can NEVER hurt my baby or any of my kids I have 3. I love my kids so much and I’m also so grateful to GOD for placing my baby with such good people. I pray for all children to be loved and cared for the way they are supposed to be.

@@annetriaseward2372 he didn't get 15 years. He got 15 to life. This only means he was eligible for parole after 15 years. If you don't know how that works, it means that he has to have a hearing before the parole board. They review everything- his behavior since he's been in prison (if he's been in trouble/causing problems or been acting right and tak8ng steps towards being a better person), the crime itself (severity/brutality are usually very much a part of this), community response (the community can write letters to the DA or even show up for or against him being granted parole), etc. Then they decide if the person gets paroled or not, if so, do they get some kind of supervision period (all will have to see a parole officer and follow a bunch of rules but some may be further monitored or have restrictions put on them) or if no parole, how long before they can apply for parole again. Also, whether they've expressed and shown remorse can play a big part. And just a few "I'm so sorry" or "I feel really bad about what I did" statements doesn't cut it. They've heard it before. I mentioned severity of crime plays a part and people get very riled up when someone gets like 25 or 30 to life but if some guy picks up a woman and then strangles her to death and dismembers her body, he's not getting parole after doing the minimum. Sometimes it has to do with the crime they're found guilty of. Not every crime can just have any sentence the judge chooses. Sentencing guidelines and maximums/minimums 3xist. But you should know that this jackass DID get 15 TO LIFE, not simply 15 years. And he was up for parole in July in 2022. Which was denied. And his next parole hearing isn't until 2032.

It's sickening to think how they could have ended up. All kids deserve a safe and loving home.

Ohio children services is pure worthless. My grandsons always tell me that their mother’s boyfriend keeps hitting them, one even said he punched him in the stomach. I have called Ohio children services three times and they never never check into it. In fact, they don’t even go over there because the mothers, mother works for the domestic violence department within her vicinity. Therefore, my grandson’s mother only gets welfare calls. Absolutely no public visits. If something happens to one of my grandkids, I am going to sue the shit out of children services. And why would they have to call to let parents know that they are going to have a call or a visit? This is part of the problem. This arrangement does nothing to protect the children because the parents have time to clean up their house, put food in the cupboards and lecture their children to shut up.

My 5yr old seems to be almost on the same level as autism as this sweet boy is. Thanks to a special program at his school and socializing, he is talking more. He knew colors and numbers and a lot before going in but it seems the socializing is helping. It can be hard at times. But he's my sweet sweet boy. When things closed down during the pandemic I was the only one going out and getting things and my husband to work (there was a couple months where he was off work) and I had 2 friends that had kids but we all stayed away because of COVID. His brother is 7years older than him and always wants to do older boy stuff. So social interaction barely happened. It can be hard but it can be so sweet and awesome. He's so smart and can do many things that "normal" kids at his age can't but he can't tell me about his day. One day he will be able to. He calls me mommy but calls me sweet boy since I can remember because that's what I've called him. He was aware that it is endearing. He has only called me that until school and one teacher that can calm him in a instant. That surprised me. So I know she is special. He's way bigger than other kids too. Will be 4ft soon. Already wearing size 1 shoes. I couldn't imagine ever lashing out on him and I sometimes do cry and then I give him a big squishy hug because he's my sweet boy and one day he'll get it. I use the help that's out there. My cheeks and fingers hurt cuz in the last week I've blown up over 700 balloons just for him to pop. Probably more. 🤣 Oh he gets so so excited. And he remembers songs and movie lines after the first time hearing them. Autism can be hard but it can be an adventure.

Social services in UK, NZ and Australia is also a joke. In NZ I called about a boy I knew who was being abused and they told me it had already been called about so I needed to forget about it, and in Australia I called about some children in my family that are disabled and being treated terribly their whole life and the school also got involved. I was told by social services to mind my business because the school was already involved. There's literally nothing I can do.

"Involuntary manslaughter?!?" It was ENTIRELY "voluntary". He didn't even die from neglect, they wrapped him in a blanket and tapped him down in a damned closet... That's not an "accident", and it's damned sure not "involuntary"...

This is how you know David is full of it: All the adults went to the family reunion without Marcus. That is a fact-Marcus was not at the reunion. So, even going with the narrative that David had nothing to do with it, he still went to the reunion without Marcus. At no point was there the question of “Who’s taking care of the two year old?”

Foster parents are not vetted correctly. Certain things like being gay, singles or older people are not given children even though they would really cherish them. Instead superficial crap like the size of the house, marital status and such is checked as if this will prevent abuse somehow. Predators and greedy people often apply for fostering and the state delivers vulnerable children directly into their hands. Remember where there are 'free' children, that's where predators are. How horrible is that?

Just the picture of that foster couple doesn't add up🤔 And this guy screams out of bad vibes even miles away from me through an internet connection... So can someone Please arrange a meeting for me with whomever was in charge to investigate, verify the legitimacy and accept these two to be in care of any given child even less this poor innocent and fragile baby boy?😡

As a mother who has had her son die suddenly at 19, (due to Addison's Disease while he was at his dad's for the weekend), which completely shattered my world and turned it upside down? This just infuriates me beyond pale! I'd have loved Marcus as if he were my own, and my house was a no soaking household since I was spanked by a wooden spoon growing up. I truly wish I could reach out and hug and comfort Marcus in that closet!

I really feel for Marcus' mom. She did the right thing by acknowledging that she didn't have the tools to take care of her son anymore. She was worried about his welfare. How sad that it ended in tragedy.

The real mother may have not been the best mother but at least she KNEW she wasn’t a good mother to him so she did the best she knew to do. I do applaud her for that. A lot of “parents” who don’t want to deal with their children end up killing them or abusing them.. sadly the loving and caring family who the mother thought he was going to was not that. Very sad… RIP sweet angel 👼🏽

This story enrages me even as it breaks my heart, not least because it happened in my hometown. There have been several similar stories in recent years as the resources and infrastructure needed to support families are woefully underfunded.

I don't believe all the screening & back ground checks in the world will change a thing, I pray it does tho but I just watched a true crime daily where a set of foster parents beat a beautiful Lil 3 yr old to death & they were in the eye of the public by winning some kind of cooking show on tv, this is just so heart breaking & I don't believe money is the answer for being a foster parent, I believe average income folks can give just as much love , probably more if they hadn't had an easy life & have learned some hard life lessons. Idk what can change things besides parents grow up when you have children & be responsible & do the right thing but we know, that's never gonna happen

That faith-based agency bears responsibility also, it's another level of privatization. The government hands over previous state funded agencies & more fractures weaken the already frail system. Faith-based agencies does not make any business nor agency decent nor wholesome, it's a facade we've seen fail young children repeatedly.

Love your videos, but I have to say; please stop saying the individual you talk about "suffers" from autism. You have said it a few times in past videos. People are autistic and some behaviors may make things harder they are not suffering in the same way you suffer from an illness or disease - it is part of who they are. ASAN has wonderful resources if you want to learn more about how the autistic community would like to be talked about.

What blows my mind is the way CPS staff / social workers can routinely cause lifelong harm to so many children, widely ignore pretty every law they're meant to follow - and still be thoroughly convinced that they're good, moral people who are unfairly criticised by a public who 'don't understand what a hard job they do'. If it's too hard a job? Don't do it. If you're not capable of doing it fairly & without further harm? Leave it alone. Don't just claim you tried, and especially don't then use it as an excuse to claim. Victimhood.... bleating about your failures as if it's some literal 'get out of jail free' card for not only being sh!t at your job, but also an excuse for being paid to destroy lives. If all you're going to do is make things worse for people who need help.... DON'T. Your need to 'save' people in order to preserve your own saintly self image is NOT a valid excuse for causing further harm to already damaged people. People who need help, need help. What they don't need (and can't afford) is to be used & exploited for the maintenance of the 'helpers' narcissism & grandiosity. It would seem from the comments that CPS (& its equivalents, worldwide) need to be torn apart & rebuilt from scratch. When an organisation is SO corrupt, not fit for purpose & such a law-unto-itself? There's no fixing it from the inside or the outside. The whole sector needs rethinking, redesigning & a completely new approach. I'm sure the only reason this hasn't already happened is that the general population is wary of them for good reason, because they have FAR too much unsupervised / unchallenged power. No other group can cause such ridiculous levels of harm to a person, without any crime even being alleged, Actually it's probably fair to say that criminals are treated much more fairly, and their rights are generally respected - no matter what the crime. CPS, on the other hand? Can, and do remove people's entire lives from them - and any prospect of hope for any future life - with a few 'creative' strokes of a pen. Says it all, really.

It seems a little too easy to "hide" extremely important information from foster care services. This case, like too many others, is simply unacceptable. Marcus deserved better!! I believe his birth mom, his real mom, was doing what she truly felt was best for her baby.
