He was an impefect man but a perfect actor. Just look at him onscreen, he was majestic...

I read Peter's book. As an abused kid myself I thought what he mentioned about his dad was extremely mild, and he seemed to say that his own success came from no help of his father. But altogether, it seemed to me that he and his sis were pretty dang spoiled and had chances to do many things most of us could never dream of. Their dad was a boss actor, and Peter's daughter Bridget, whew, always thought she was a knockout and great actress. Lot of talent in that family.

Thanks for mentioning that Jane was protesting the bombing of non military targets in Vietnam, something that doesn't seem to bother those who call *her* a traitor.

Always admired Henry but that’s where it stopped, he was an actor.

Of course when Hanoi Jane turned in the American pilots in Hanoi for passing notes, that was just fine.

Yeah, the "Vietnam Generation," as a general rule, never forgave her for what she did in Hanoi. A lot of countries would've tossed her in the slammer and dropped the keys down the nearest sewer for it. "---aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war..." I lost a good friend over there and it screwed up a couple of others.

Except she never did that.

I always thought they were fine actors, maybe not given good enough roles to show how good they were. Sad their father was so emotionally detached, when they lost their mother, as young as they had been, had to be terribly traumatic. The father. having had his owm messed up childhood, maybe tried the best he could. I know that's what parents do. Regardless, they were both, absolutely beautiful! And I absolutely loved and idolized them both growing up. This was very insightful, I had zero clue this was their family dynamic. Very tragic and sad :( now, she is all that is left.

My dad's friend Scott Smith was related too Peter Fonda and the Fonda's. They were cousins.

The Fonda's have never known a hard days work in their pathetic lives. WAH! "Poor me" PTSD from what? Getting lost in a mansion? I was a foster kid. From house to house. I was there so foster families would make more money. I left the system at 16, got my HS diploma and am doing very well in real estate. A tough childhood made me stronger. I made damn sure my kids are spoiled. I broke the cycle.

Spoiling your kids isn't helping anyone, you are only generating more irresponsible brats.

sure pray then go see the doctor, it's funny that their mother was in an institution when they didn't believe in mental illness and how the heck did she get hold of something that could kill her in a place that's supposed to prevent suicide? To be quite honest the Fondas have never seemed that sane so it doesn't surprise me to find there's a lot of mental illness in that family. as good as Henry Fonda was he wasn't Gregory Peck
