Linda Ronstadt was and still is one my favorite singers of all time ...

I was fortunate to hear her sing when she toured with Nelson Riddle for her “What’s New” album. It was at the Greek Theatre in LA and it was an amazing show. Her voice is an absolute treasure. Her ability to sing so many different types of music styles is what made her unique.

My first concert was seeing Linda in Boston at the Orpheum Theatre on March 1, 1974. 50 years ago when I was 16. She was so amazing! 🥰🌟I didn’t know of her illness. 😢❤

Saw Orpheum & thought we might be city neighbors as I live outside Memphis where I saw her live on Mud Island in the late 90's. I learned of her illness a few years ago in the documentary, "Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice". Not sure where I watched it for free but looks like Amazon Prime has it available to Rent or Buy.

Linda Ronstad was my female favorite; beautiful voice and what a smile. My hair was dark and straight like hers, but no one had her fabulous eyes!!!❤️🙏🤗🌺

My favourite female artist. Every band I ever sang in I made sure that I had least a few of her beautiful songs in our sets. I had the privilege of seeing her in concert in Melbourne Australia in the 70s. She performed at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to thousands of enraptured fans, me included. I still have all my old vinyls of gorgeous Linda. I love her to this day. ❤️❤️❤️

There are too many great songs to pick a favorite but she's so smart that I particularly enjoy listening to her talk.

Thank you so much for this video!! I’ve been a lifelong fan, and I was lucky enough to see her at Radio City Music Hall - she blew me away!! (I actually was walking in with Ron Howard - yes, he came in through the front with us ordinary people). And she got the Eagles together (thanks, Linda). I am so heartbroken, may God bless her and help her to be well ❤

My favorite Linda song is, "OLD PAINT." I used to sing it with my mother as I bathed her when she was dying of Glial Blastoma Multiforme. (GBM-The worst of all Brain Cancers). I still cry when I play that song. My Father, also died of GBM. I probably will, too.

Geez I loved her songs, but she sang ballads . Her voice and song choice were mellow and transported us to laces only our hearts and souls could envision and live. She was phenomenal and her own person

I was lucky to see her when she toured with Nelson Riddle for the “ What’s New” album. She was at the Greek Theatre in Hollywood and during the performance it started to rain. She didn’t miss a beat and it just added to nostalgia of the music. Truly on of the best concerts I’ve been to.

Linda was my idol throughout the 70's and beyond. As a teenager and young adult, I wanted to look like her and sing like her. I fantasized about it. I had to get everything I could find about her and put it in a scrapbook. I went to see her every time she toured through Cincinnati. Once I went to Ticketron as soon as they opened and got front-row seats for one of her concerts. I think she not only has the most gifted voice ever but I think her beauty surpasses anyone I've ever seen. I like the rock and roll Linda more than the other genres she tackled. One thing that I never understood and that was of all the concerts I went to, she never ever sang Long, Long Time and I never could figure out why because that is one of her first torch songs that she killed. I think her best album would be the Hasten Down the Wind one. Her voice shines so in those songs especially Lose Again. She also kills Desperado when done live too. Was so sad to hear when she got that disease and couldn't sing anymore. We still have all her music!

It's called "Different Drum" and was when she was with the Stone Pony's. It was a big hit but not given the accolades it deserved.

Her first hit, "Different Drum" got my attention when it was first released. I liked her powerful, polished voice. But then I thought that she was a bit too polished. Her cover of "Long, Long Time" is often said to be her masterpiece. But it struck me as inauthentic, especially compared to Melanie Safka's version, which still has me tearing up every time I hear it. So I have to admit that I didn't really care for Linda all that much until after she had retired, no longer able to sing. I'm 77 now, a member of Linda's generation. She'll always be rightfully regarded as one of the great female voices.

Actually, Linda did find her "top voice" when she sang on Broadway in The Pirates of Penzance. That was actually the only time I saw her live. And she also did some opers "La Boheme". Glad she did. Now that magic is gone.
