Hi Ren was AUDIO one-take. Video was mostly third take (out of four), but they added some peices from other three takes.
@gracesprocket73402 ай бұрын
He does a lot of manual remixing and balancing between the audio sources post processing. He has 'room mikes' as well as his lapel mike for vox and the miked up guitar. He really likes to play with ambient acoustics - but isn't afraid to really push the mixing to create weird effects too, including extremely strong auto-tune like effects in some tracks. So while his style is 'one take, live' the result is clearly seldom that - even for his busking videos, he post processes them to some degree. There is a live performance for an audience of the Tales, which gives a clearer indication of the 'source' material he works with - it is good, but not as polished as the output from his mixing desk. To quote from 'Losing It' - and when I mix it, pour some juice in it. It's so prolific, it's that boujee shit...

Nobody has really stepped up to fill the void left by the greats in music. But Ren is up at the plate. If no record label asshole puts a leash and collar on him and he stays true to himself and his own vision… he has every opportunity to stand among the best there has ever been. He raps, he makes his own beats, he sings, writes his own lyrics, plays multiple instruments brilliantly. He can rock out or chill out and do reggae. The writing and storytelling is next frigging level. Ren has Shakespearean levels of talent. Not to mention, he’s an exceptional human being with kindness and wisdom beyond his years. Amazing young man.

I think that might be wrong I think the inspiration for this didn’t come a 14 year old stabbing a prostitute to death but the stabbing of a 14 year old school boy outside his school. From that spark Ren spun these tales.

Both the Ren songs you have reacted too are one shot videos. In fact Ren is kind of famous for that. Try Money Gsmes. All three in order with the middle one being the lyric video. The last will blow your mind.
@SilkySOSU3 ай бұрын
@@LeeannG true but the boom mic alone isn't enough for Ren to be able to produce the end result, without having the guitar on its own source which Ren has spoken about in interviews...I was only addressing the way the guitar in those environments is able to sound so "clean". He also typically has a Lav mic on his body during these type of recordings and is able to tweak the heck out of each source to get the awesome sounding end result.

@@karenlittle8041 I completely concur with your suggestion for $$$Game's and would like to toss out the idea for Hz (sorry I'm blanking on your name right now) to do all three of them in a row in one reaction...its drastically different than the Tales, you just have to go through each one individually (and like Karen said, make sure the second is the lyric and not the shorter live version, which is definitely worth watching but I would recommend after getting through them all, and you could just do on your own time cause it is pretty short). Karen is spot on with her thoughts of part 3...especially if you have any interest in videography things and the one shot format difficulty and whatnot, MG part three is a masterpiece one take (technically it is a two take if you look into it...one cut towards the end Ren has mentioned himself) and there is also a fairly lengthy (2+ hours I think) video available that shows the preparation and behind the scenes stuff so you can witness the magic of Ren. On a side note, there is also a live performance available of the Tales filmed with a 360 degree camera where while watching the video, you are able to actually change the camera perspective live during the playback...I've never seen anybody react to that video whilst playing around with the camera but that could be a cool thing to check out Hz. Just throwing ideas out there :).

Seems he is well known (as a loveable rogue?) to the police in Brighton, where he's lived for a number of years. He did an impromptu live performance of the tales which is also on his channel. It’s quite interesting that when decided to start taking music seriously around the age of 12/13, he had no intention of becoming an artist, he wanted to become a producer so that’s what he focused on. As a result his production / mixing skills will stand up with anyones. Throw in a bit of ADHD and he’s so obsessive about it that by the time he’s finished producing one of his tracks, he’s sick of it. It’s when he releases it and gets feed back from the public and reactors that it comes back to life for him and he can appreciate them again.

The story gets deeper the more you listen to it. The cycle of abuse as well as the cycle of violent behaviour as well as talking about the children both being 14 and in Violet's tale the year 2005 created the timeline. The effort that Ren and Samuel put in to these is so well thought out and planned to perfection. I also think that the live one-take format of both that you have reacted to are perfectly imperfect. Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole and I hope that the RENEGADES show you how supportive they/we are.

I remember waiting for them. All of Rens video's like this are live and 1 takes. They may have to do them over a few times. But they are live and 1 take. Oh shit is the normal response. He does have alot of happier songs, some rap, some more on the music side. And when he does, the colabs and with his busking, 2 bands are fun. A lot of his colabs and band members have gone of and have been doing well. Remember he is independent. And there are stories behind that also.

Part two as mentioned by others is a lyric video unlike any you have seen before, not just your typical "coolish font" type lyrics scrolling or whatever on the screen...there is a purpose behind every line and visual, just like all of Rens videos or lyric videos (Seven Sins is a masterpiece Lyric video compared to MG3 as a masterpiece one/two shot video)

Great reaction Dude! I like your no nonsense attitude. Ren has a discography that goes back a decade. Thanks for the Trilogy. Peace!

Check out solo Ren in his music video ‘Mackay’, and the ‘I shot the sheriff’ busking video with his band The Big Push… an example of just how diverse and magical Ren & his music are 🤩

1:55 Respect your decision and subbed. I actually haven’t watched your Hi Ren reaction yet because you are a new channel and I was a bit sceptical that you might just be one of those who are jumping on the Ren train. I think pacing yourself and taking some time off is a good decision. I always appreciate authenticity. ♥️

Alright man, when you come back, seriously consider doing the Money Game vids (Pt.1, 2, and 3). Very, very good music, and the 3rd Money Game song is probably his best work.

Another RENegade that really likes your reaction style. This man has so much talent and there are many amazing, extraordinary, funny, heartbreaking tracks and videos that you must do a minimum of 1 weekly or you'll be an old man still playing catch-up. You never forget your first Ren. Much love ❤

Ren and Sleep Token reactions will definitely draw a cult following. They're my two most recent obsessions, and can't recommend them both enough.

I'm so glad you popped up in my feed and I decided to click on you. I'm a Renegade for sure, but I also like good music in general. I grew up in the 60's, 70's and 80's and so was totally spoiled by the plethora of music available during those decades. Ren is the first "new" musician that actually got me excited about music again. I'll listen to anything once (or if it's absolute crap, maybe only 1/2 way through 😁) so I'm here because of Ren, but I will check out your other reactions as well. Subbed - I really enjoyed your reaction to The Tales. Off to watch your Hi Ren reaction and I noticed Tom MacDonald and Falling in Reverse reactions in there, too. Looking forward to Warpigs. That whole red suspenders session was total fire.

Really glad to have you here! Thanks so much for checking everything out. Let me know if you want to see anything. Those were the best years in music IMO.

Female British singer you really need to start hearing now. Chinchilla. She did a duet with Ren on two songs to date, Chalk Outlines and How To Be Me. As a solo artist Chinchilla knocks everyone's socks off! Not only their socks but everything else also. :D Thank you very much for this reaction. I do hope there will be more from you, for Both Ren and Chinchilla. ♥

At time of comment you had 507 views in 1 hr with 152 likes. Those are -very- good stats for a channel with 393 subs or any channel for that matter. I'll bet that subs number climbs fast as you have an engaging personality, worthwhile remarks and few interruptions. Good work! I'll be visiting your channel to see what else you have. Keep on, keeping on....

There's great Music, great Music Videos, and there is great Art. Ren is something new. By amalgamating so many different aspects of music and art, he is able to create something unique and new.

New Subscriber 😊. I've literally watched hundreds of reactions to the Tales over the past year and a half, and you're the first to make a Star Wars parallel; RESPECT for that 😂. PS: you're going to love War Pigs!
