Thank you for your kind words. I am Canadian and The Hip are embedded in my soul. For me, there are no borders, only great music. Your country has produced many legends of rock...too many to name. I love the Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Chilly Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Alice in Chains, The Cars, and even older music such as CCR, Aerosmith, Doors, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Heart...oh, there are just too many...Good music completes the soul...cheers :)

I'm 52yrs old & from Florida, this band's has been the soundtrack of my life. I had to travel a lot to see them on 9 different tours including in 2007 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, this was thier first time there since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. New Orleans is Sinking was extra special that night!

Jack, I’m extremely curious how you first found The Hip way down in Florida? That is amazing! Wish I could have seen the boys play in New Orleans with you. Never been to NOLA but have dreamed of it many times. You were blessed to actually outdo my dreams in the best possible ways in real life. Cheers to you 🍻 This girl has been blessed to see many Hip shows in Canada (they even played in my hometown a few times) and in 3 different states. Most memorable for its uniqueness? Without question it was the show at the Toledo Zoo. Actually inside the zoo. It was epic and my very first Tragically Hip concert. Memories!🫶 Extremely impressed by your excellent taste in music and for becoming an honorary Canadian. Welcome to the club my brother 🇨🇦 ❤from Shannon

I play the drums for a Band in Seattle. gORD. When I heard Up to Here, The Hip took over my #1 spot surpassing ac/dc. I am now 50+. Our band, gORD, only plays Hip songs. For me, Gord Downey will forever define the title "Rock Star". The choice to thank his fans with their final tour is truly legendary. May he forever enjoy the Grace of Heaven. "What's next to the moon...? ROCKSTARS"! - ac/dc

I’ve lived 2 hrs from Kingston in NY , crossed the border hundreds of times for a variety of reasons , unfortunately for me , never to see this band. After watching the recent doc I have been up to my eyeballs in their catalog. I’m convinced that they were the greatest band ever. There is no comparison to anything else. Canadians are a selfish bunch, on the one hand they have the world Rush but kept the Hip for themselves. 😊

I am also from the states. I was living in Bangor Maine when Road Apples came out. They were playing 3 Pistols on the local station. I was instantly in love with them went out the next day and got "Up To Here" Had to wait for "Road Apples" for 2 more days. It wasn't in the record stores yet. Had the amazing privilege of seeing them in Columbus Ohio in 2002. They are, for me, one of the greatest bands in history. From any country. Long live Gord and The Hip!!

The DJ was Leigh Robert. Absolutely life defining. Then I moved to Erie and lived there from 95-03. KZbin and the Hip how it's a small, small world.

As man who bleeds red and white fully and completely🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 I believe every true Canadian feels like the Hip belongs to us completely!!! As a true and Hip fan, if anyone ever said they hated hip music or just that it wasn’t their type music, we take that as an huge insult, and get enormously angered. It’s funny looking at it that way but I do. These genius boys from Kingston Ontario belong to every Canadian born Citizen!! When Gordie passed on that that great gig in sky, a part of every Canuck sort of died that day as well. We love ya Gordie, he made the mood the day you came into this world buddy!!!! The Hip baby

I'm sadden to admit that I've never seen this band live, I know, I know, terrible. Gord passed away a few days ago and I never will have the chance now. Gord's over-the-top theatrics on stage is what sold me in loving this band. Saw their live Satellite Juno performance," Locked in a Trunk of a Car" and was really my first time seeing the band play live. Gord was one of a kind!! He pulls everything out of the hat when on stage, and it works for him. May he rest now.
