What exactly do you mean by foreign power? How much diesel do the son of the guns actually hold? How long will it last before they have to refuel?

Foreign power = other railroads. 4k gallons is the max.

Power that's not what the normal traffic uses. Example: NS train using BNSF power or a csx train using UP power. And the fuel capacity varies by model . But it looks like most of these hold 5,000 gallons. Fuel consumption depends on load applied and speed.

Anything other than NS power on NS lines is considered foreign power.

Foreign power otherwise known as leased equipment from pools Lot of times you don't just see the same railroad with the same exact locomotives. For example a CSX line with a Norfolk Southern power
